Fundraising works best when it’s relational. Everyone says that, but what does it actually mean?  

It means that your donors are in a bi-directional relationship with your organization in which they donate contribute funds and support and the organization offers them an opportunity to participate in having an impact on the world that they care very deeply about.

It means that the most effective fundraising enters a conversation already happening inside the minds of your ideal donors and attempts to see the world the way they see it.   You have to find people who have an affinity for the mission - a deep connection to the outcomes that your organization is working towards… the shared vision of the better world you’re creating.
