Seth also challenges conventional ideas about risk, revealing how entrepreneurs can make uncertainty more manageable through deliberate choices and controlled experimentation. This episode offers practical insights into developing independent thinking, identifying meaningful opportunities, and creating a purposeful path toward long-term success.

In this "Lessons" episode, Shane Neman, founder of Neman Ventures and a 2x exited founder, shares his approach to identifying promising investment opportunities in rapidly evolving industries. Drawing on his experience investing in companies like Impossible Foods and AG1, he explains how a barbell investment strategy balances emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, and quantum computing with established businesses that are more resilient to disruption. Shane explores how to evaluate unfamiliar technologies through rigorous due diligence and trusted networks, identify industries with long-term growth potential, and recognize the risks of investing in unproven markets. He also emphasizes why a founder's resourcefulness, adaptability, and ability to navigate uncertainty can matter more than the technology itself when determining a company's long-term success.
