In this interview with host Scott Luton, Chachere Shelton talks about:
• The variety of camps that are focused on getting various ages of young women into the field of aviation
• What it was like being a pilot during the COVID-19 shutdowns
• The sense of responsibility she feels as a role model, and why she is excited that two other women are about to join her as captains

Plenty of exciting new technologies are paving the way for the future of supply chain, from next-gen cobots to metaverse-based commerce (and hopefully fewer celebrity-obsessed founders). The expectations around the VALUE supply chains deliver are accelerating despite ongoing volatility, disruption, and gridlock. We are all grappling with the impacts of the pandemic, global conflict, climate change, shifting channel, and product mixes as well as constraints on available talent.
As supply chain leaders, we must be prepared to navigate uncertainty and mitigate risk in an increasingly dynamic global market. Many of these challenges were discussed at the 2022 Gartner Supply Chain Symposium held in Orlando, Florida which is billed as “The World’s Most Important Gathering of CSCOs and Supply Chain Executives.” There were no silver bullets, but there were lots of fresh insights and inspirations. Tune into this TEKTOK crossover episode for some highlights.

Although no one expected it, the war in Ukraine is now approaching the end of its fourth month. Refugees continue to flee the country and calls for weaponry persist. President Zelenskyy and his leadership team are hanging tough, advocating for their citizens, and requesting as much military assistance as they can get from the rest of the world.
But now the war in Ukraine is starting to claim casualties on foreign shores… not in the form of refugees, but in a hunger crisis of global proportions.
Before the war, Ukraine was the 4th largest exporter of grain in the world. Now, 20 metric tonnes of grain are sitting in silos as hunger increases worldwide and the next crop not only has no place to go – if it can’t be sold, there won’t be funds to pay for next year’s harvest.
In this Dial P crossover podcast episode, Kelly Barner considers the diplomatic, humanitarian, and logistics issues that have to be overcome to get the grain out of Ukraine:
• Rail and sea options that all seem to have more negatives than positives
• Countries and organizations like the United Nations that are getting involved in an effort to stave off famines
• Bad actors in the region that the Western world may be tempted to deal with in order to prevent mass starvation

Pollination is the movement of pollen from the male parts of the flower to the female parts of the flower. It facilitates seed formation and fruit formation. Pollination happens in different ways for different types of plants: wind, gravity, and even with the help of animals.
Dr. Lora Morandin is the Western Canada Program Manager at the Pollinator Partnership. She has been doing research on bees and pollination since 1997, based on interest in native pollinator conservation and sustainable agriculture. She has consulted for government and industry on diverse ecological topics and is passionate about finding ways for production and conservation to co-exist in a healthy and sustainable environment.
In this interview with host Scott Luton, Dr. Lora Morandin talks about the threats facing some pollinators today and the steps that the Pollinator Partnership is taking to protect them and their habitats.
