Some people view the constant evolution of supply chains as disruption, others see it as “reinvention.” And the more global the supply ecosystem is, the more invention – or innovation - is possible.
Roberto Canevari is the Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain with the Estée Lauder Companies. His prior experience includes rules at Unilever, Burberry, Carrefour, and Nestle. He is truly passionate about the supply chain profession, both for what it allows supply chains to achieve on behalf of the company and also for what it allows the company to achieve for society.
In this interview, Roberto speaks with hosts Greg White and Scott Luton about:
• The importance of simultaneously offering a great customer experience and being a good corporate citizen
• Investments in strategic distribution and the runway they create for the company to continue to grow and thrive
• The power of bringing together respect for individuals, uncompromising integrity, authenticity, corporate performance, and culture

For many people, the military functions as a big “leadership school.” Service members have contact with different types of leaders and learn to become leaders in their own right. From finding the right mentor to building a tribe of supportive people around you, who each person surrounds themselves with will often determine the path that they follow.
In this Veteran Voices crossover episode, Mary Kate Soliva welcomes Shirley Baez. Shirley started thinking about joining the Army as a way of paying for college, and then the Twin Towers fell on 9/11. In that moment, perspective changed and she went from “just being a girl that wanted to go into the military for college money” to someone who genuinely wanted to serve her country. She is now a Veteran of the U.S. Army special operations community, but her service is not over.
Shirley shares her honest reflections with Mary Kate about:
• What it means to know you have the trust of leaders that you respect
• The role she played as a part of civil affairs, reestablishing essential services in parts of the world where the population is not connected to its government
• Why it was so important to have a ‘tribe’ when the time came to end her military service and enter private industry

There is a shortage of long-haul truck drivers and tanker drivers in this country right now. When the issue is raised, people often point to the long, lonely hours on the road and how incompatible the working conditions are with the professional priorities of millennial workers.
But everything is about your perspective, and if you ask Kellylynn McLaughlin, she talks about adventure, and meeting new people, and touring facilities. She makes it sound more like an expedition than a job. Kellylynn is a professional OTR driver and training engineer with Schneider. In 2020 she was appointed as Schneider’s first-ever ‘Women in Trucking’ Driver Ambassador, part of their diversity recruitment program to encourage new people to consider a career in trucking.
In one of Scott's favorite past episodes, Kellylynn joins him along with special co-host Ward Richmond, Executive Vice President at Colliers International, to share her view of life on the road:
• The excitement and danger she experiences on the road – and there are more of both than she would have expected
• Why she enjoys training Schneider’s new drivers, people who come from all over the world to learn the mechanics and safety measures of OTR trucking
• How she thinks the supply chain needs to be reimagined so that people – not profit – are put front and center

In this interview with host Scott Luton, Mathilde Collin talks about:
