4月26日，台湾两大在野党在台北市凯达格兰大道举行“反绿共、战独裁”聚会。

在野国民党籍的立法院长韩国瑜、台北市长蒋万安、台中市长卢秀燕、国民党主席朱立伦都站到台前激情演讲，反对正在如火如荼进行的罢免立法委员运动。朱立伦还喊出了520后罢免总统赖清德的口号。

在野阵营也出现了难得的大和解大团结。第三势力民众党主席黄国昌激情宣誓，“台湾民众党不会害怕，台湾民众党站在对抗赖清德独裁道路上，我们一步都不会退。”

主办方说，426集会吸引了25万民众参加。不过，根据台北市警方的保守估计，这场聚会则是有6万人参加。

Last Saturday, tens of thousands gathered in Taipei for a major opposition rally organised by the Kuomintang (KMT), voicing concerns over what they see as increasing authoritarian tendencies under the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

The "Anti-Green Terror, Fight Dictatorship" rally featured prominent figures including former Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an, Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen, and KMT Chairman Eric Chu.

The rally comes amid a wave of recall campaigns targeting legislators, primarily from the pan-blue camp, and accusations from the KMT of political persecution by the DPP government.

Notably, KMT Chairman Eric Chu has called for the recall of President Lai Ching-te following his upcoming inauguration anniversary in May. The presence of former Taiwan People’s Party (TPP) chairman Huang Kuo-chang underscored a rare moment of unity among opposition forces.

While organisers claimed attendance reached 250,000, police estimates placed the crowd closer to 60,000. This event highlights growing public scrutiny of the DPP’s governance and raises questions about whether this opposition unity signals a turning point in Taiwan’s political landscape.
