The Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) is hosting their first ever Virtual Vestibular Conference and Dr. Danielle Tate, PT and Dr. Abbie Ross, PT, NCS are your hosts/moderators for the week. Today's talk was about Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy presented by Tara Denham, PT, MA.
Evidence shows that Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) can be effective in the management of symptoms associated with many vestibular disorders. While it is natural to display avoidance behaviors in order to prevent symptoms from being triggered, vestibular rehabilitation programs tailored to your symptoms and functional deficits can help facilitate improved function and quality of life with reduced symptoms over time. In this session you will learn how VRT works, who is a good candidate for VRT, and what you can expect from a VRT program.
Be sure watch the patient panel where Ashley Virgilio (www.ashaligned.com) and Alex & Nancy Shaddock (https://www.youtube.com/user/nfshaddock) will be joining in to talk about their experiences in VRT as patients! Tune in live or watch it within the first 24 hours for FREE! Follow the link: https://vestibular.org/article/baw/virtual-vestibular-conference/
