When you step into the office each morning, do you feel like the commander-in-chief or the coordinator of chaos? Day-to-day activities can get crazy in about sixty seconds flat for any wellness practitioner. So, when patient files are flying, you’ve got urgent phone calls to return and the next patient has been waiting too long, something needs to change.
Our tendency is to play ‘whack-a-mole’ as we try to manage the urgent situations as best as we can. But sadly, this isn’t going to address the real underlying problem: a lack of effective business systems.
Now, before you tune me out, there’s more to the story. Systems, also known as internal procedures or processes, shouldn’t be considered dirty words. Instead, I’d like to propose that they can be your new business bestie’s, helping you streamline everything you do and creating a business that runs as smoooooth as butter.
In truth, business systems will help make your life at work feel more grounded and stable, just like the foundation of a house. If it’s weak, wobbly, and unstable, the walls, ceiling and floors will be as well. And who wants that???
I’ll be talking you through the four stages of business systems (you’ll find yourself in one of them I guarantee!) and then give you some super easy steps to begin creating your own.
Whether you’re in survival mode, or you’re a practitioner who wants to continue building a thriving practice, we’ll identify where you’re at in the system-building process and talk about how you can work through any kinks you have with your own procedures. This episode has some serious GOLD in it!
