So if a picture is worth a thousand words, then investing in a professional photography session is worth its weight in gold. 💰

Having high-quality images for your website and other marketing material shows your professionalism and conveys a thousand really amazing words! The goal of any photo shoot is to capture pictures that represent you and your business well, for anyone who might be looking.

Before my first ever photo sesh, my nerves and self-doubt were out of control. I was all up in my head about it and didn’t know what to wear, how to pose, or even how to smile. 😰

Luckily my photographer made me feel right at ease with some music (and a little bit of liquid courage). It was an experience I’ll never forget! She made me feel like I could be my most authentic self in front of the camera, which makes it ten times easier (and more fun!) 💃🏻

How many times a week do you have the same conversations with your patients? 💬

I recently asked a group of practitioners if they send regular emails to their patients. And guess what? CRICKETS! 🦗 (mostly)  

I was shocked! Sending regular emails to your patients is one of the most effective, but under-used, ways to market to your patients and stay top of mind. 🧠

Here’s how it plays out: you have a patient come in, they get better (woohoo!) and off they go to live their life. You might even see them every now and then, when you’re running errands or at your kid’s school events. But nothing more than that.

Then, several years go by and you don’t seem to cross paths anymore. You’re still in the same town but for some reason, you just miss each other. And then one day, they get sick and can’t for the life of them remember how to contact you…. so they find someone else to work with.

It happens all the time. Patients move on because they never heard from you. So sad. But this can be easily remedied by sending regular emails. 📥

You don’t have to overwhelm their inbox by any means but sending an email every week or two could be the golden ticket to have those inactive patients return back to your practice years later. 🎫

Making small talk on planes is typically not my style. I love to recline my seat a little bit, pop in my headphones, and get some work done or dive into my current read. 📚

I’ve flown from California to Seattle a dozen times, but my most recent flight ended up turning into a rather serendipitous meeting after striking up a conversation with my seatmate. ✈️

I’ll leave the story for him to tell, but after a few moments into the flight, Cardiac Surgeon, Dr. Ashok Venkataraman (or Dr. V for short), and I talked non-stop the entire way back to Seattle. 😂 And we covered a TON of subjects – from holistic medicine, mental, spiritual, and physical health, and how to build unbreakable bonds with your patients.

It was pretty incredible.

One thing that I admired the most about Dr. V was his passion for creating a great patient experience. He works hard to make every patient under his care feel like the most important person in the room, even in the life-or-death situations he regularly faces as a cardiothoracic surgeon. 👨‍⚕️

Just out of curiosity, I recently asked a few of my practitioner friends what percentage of their monthly revenue comes from selling supplements. Most of my friends were just plain killin’ it while others, I could tell, needed a little boost.  

One of my favorite ways to increase supplement revenue is to actually loop in my patient advocate or front desk staff on the operation! After all, they typically talk to my patients more than I do!  

Plus, when a patient calls to reschedule because their kid is sick or they need to drop a “Get Well Soon” basket off at their friend’s house, your staff can easily swoop in and make a few supplement recommendations as appropriate. It’s a win-win for everyone! 😃

Have you ever been scrolling through your social feed and suddenly stopped to find out “What is your Hollywood personality?” Or maybe it was a quiz where you could find out about your ‘emoji style.’ There are tons of quizzes out there, ready to get your attention and gain the click.   

But not only are these types of quizzes appealing and exciting for the quiz taker, they’re also a super-easy way to capture new leads and hopefully convert them into active patients. The quiz-taker learns something new about themselves and in return, you get their email address. I’d say that’s a fair trade. 🤝

There are a few key components to an awesome quiz. It needs a catchy topic, interactive questions, and plenty of gifs or short videos to keep their attention.
