This week, the show welcomes automotive media veteran Eddie Alterman to chat about cars, the automotive industry, and watches. Eddie served as the Editor in Chief of Car & Driver for 10 years, and now finds himself leading automotive editorial for Hearst, overseeing properties like Car & Driver, Road & Track, Motortrend, Hot Rod, Autoweek, and a personal favorite, Bring A Trailer. There is a surprising amount of overlap between how we think about cars and watches of a certain era, which has defined our enthusiasm for both, and we get into just why that is in this episode.

Watches & Wonders 2025 is in the books, and in this episode I'm joined by Danny Milton to recall some of the biggest releases and news from the show. We talk about the new Land-Dweller from Rolex, and its unique Dynapulse escapement, which Danny had unique access to prior to the show. There was also plenty of other interesting releases this year in what turned out to be a pretty solid Watches & Wonders all around. Keep an eye out for more coverage of the new watches in the coming months.

This week I'm thrilled to welcome James Stacey back to the podcast. James and I have just returned from a trip to Paris with Richard Mille and Ferrari to get a first hand look at the new 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph. In this episode, we react to the watch, and chat about some of the other highlights of the trip, including time in a racing simulator set up (and how we might go about replicating such a set up in our own homes). Additionally, we look ahead to Watches & Wonders and ponder what's in store for us, including which Rolex watch would make the most sense in RLX titanium.

This week we take a look at new divers from Seiko celebrating 60 years since the 62MAS, which includes a new monobloc Marinemaster. Seiko also introduced a new King Seiko Vanac collection, recalling a short lived name from the early '70s. Additionally, I talk about pairing down my collection recently, and how I'm looking to bring my focus to the watches I buy moving ahead, and remove redundancies in the process. There's also a commentary about bonding with a few watches rather than hoarding many. Finally, there's an update on my small form factor PC build, and what is motivating the process.

This is a solo episode featuring my thoughts on some of the new releases from Leica, Sinn, Audemars Piguet, and more. I also take a look back at my time with the magnificent A Lange & Sohne Lange 1 ref. 101.027 and ponder its meaning in the context of my own collection. Finally, I've got a new PC build project in the works, right in the midst of a new generation of GPUs being introduced. I talk about that process and how I'm looking to move into a small form factor for this latest project.

This week, Wesley Smith returns to the podcast to discuss the Formula 1 2025 season liveries, which were all revealed this week in London. We talk about favorites, as well as what to expect from the actual cars hitting the track in Bahrain at the end of this month. Additionally, we highlight some of the recent watch releases from F1 team partners such as IWC and Girard-Perregaux, and how the exotic dial trend has taken hold of the industry.
Wesley and I will be working to produce a series of episodes around the 2025 Formula 1 season this year. This is a project we’re excited to share more details about soon. Please note that this won’t replace the regular podcast schedule with news and figures from the watch industry and beyond. We welcome any feedback at [email protected].

This week’s episode features a discussion with Jeremy Kirkland of the Blamo! Podcast. Jeremy is a veteran of the fashion space, and also happens to be a serious watch enthusiast. In this episode, we discuss his sartorial origins, how his motivations have evolved, and how watches fit into that equation. We also confront the idea of ergonomics in trend cycles and how they impact the market broadly, as well as for enthusiasts on a more personal level. Our approach to clothing runs parallel to our approach to watches in many ways, and we explore this ground to compare and contrast ideas that work for us.
