This week we welcome Danny Milton back to the podcast to discuss the Patek Philippe Cubitus, the Tudor FXD GMT, and have a chat about movies. Danny is the VP of Content for Teddy Baldassarre, and brings a wealth of perspective on the new releases, what they mean to the industry, and how we should be processing them as enthusiasts. These new releases have had a chance to sink over the past few weeks, and in this episode we take a deeper look and confront our true feelings about Tudor and Patek.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the reinvention of A. Lange & Söhne, and the brand is celebrating with the release of four new Lange 1 references in two different configurations. Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to view the watches and sit with the German brand’s CEO, Wilhelm Schmid to discuss the current state of the brand, the anniversary, and the cars seen at Audrain Newport.

Anthony has been with Lange for 20 years, and offers some incredible insight to how the brand operates, what motivates them, and how they try to keep enthusiasts and customers surprised. This year is the 25th anniversary of the Datograph, and we discuss its evolution in that time, including the 2012 transition, and the latest Datograph Handwerkskunst. Keep an eye out for more coverage of the Audrain Motor Show coming soon to The Deep Track and to Robb Report.

This week we’re thrilled to welcome former race car driver and current media personality Justin Bell to the podcast. Fair warning, this week’s episode features a lot of F1 and racing talk, with very little in the way about watches. Justin Bell is full of incredible stories after a life as a championship winning race car driver, including a class win at the 1998 24 hours of LeMans in the legendary Team ORECA Viper GTS-R. In this episode, we discuss the current F1 season, how things have gotten surprisingly competitive, and what to make of the blossoming rookie drivers leaving their mark on the season. We also chat about Justin’s racing career, including advice from his dad, racing at Le Mans, and more.

This week we welcome the founder of Studio Underd0g, Richard Benc to the podcast. Studio Underd0g is a relatively young brand which got its start just a few years ago, but has made a relatively large impact on the micro-brand space. The brand has been defined by their vibrant take on the hand wound chronograph, using colors inspired by fruits and other foods, as well as iconic sneakers. In this episode, we discuss the origins of the brands, those unique sources of inspiration, and of course, their latest collaboration with H. Moser. Richard is full of wonderful insights and has a very reasonable take on their decision to offer the collaboration watch as a pair.

This week we welcome the editorial staff of Teddy Baldassarre to have a roundtable discussion about the new watches from Geneva Watch Days. We talk about new watches from H. Moser and Studio Underd0g, Doxa, Oris, Tudor, Bulgari, and many more. We also find some time for an existential crisis over writing about watches, and what it means to wear a watch on the right wrist.
