Orla Walsh joins us (remotely!) at The Dietitian Cafe, to discuss her career to date. Specialising in fertility, Oral has helped numerous couples achieve their dreams of parenthood, and shares her stories with Harriet Smith.

Aaron is a NHS dietitian at Bradford Teaching Hospital in the North of England. He has been qualified for almost a year and is currently working to provide nutrition support to patients with COVID-19. Aaron joined us at The Dietitian Cafe at the weekend to discuss his experiences on the Intensive Care Units in a harrowing interview, exploring the challenges the team face, and the vital care of key workers. He also shares his coping strategies in such an emotional environment. In Aaron's free time he produces his own podcast called Dietetics Digest Podcast and interviews dietitians from other specialties.

Bahee shares her career history in this week's The Dietitian Cafe; from her upbringing in Sri Lanka, her education in New Zealand, her move to the UK and her role at Great Ormond Street Hospital where she developed nutrition guidelines. Specialising in ketogenic diets, Bahee emphasises the importance of research centres in hospital centres.

NHS Community Dietitian, Alex Ballard, shares her journey to becoming a Registered Dietitian - from her initial interest in sports and nutrition whilst at school, through to university placements and her first NHS posting. She explores with us the rewards of working in the community - and how she and the team safeguard each other.

Sophie Medlin joins us in The Dietitian Cafe - Sophie is a well-recognised consultant dietitian in London with expertise in gastrointestinal and colorectal health. Sophie is a go-to spokesperson for media when it comes to evidence-based nutrition, regularly featuring in print, broadcast and social media, and shares her thought with us on the responsibilities of healthcare professionals in the media.

Our first guest is Brian Power RD (@brianpowerRD), who discusses his research and academic career to date, including how he has developed a behaviour change programme, and why he encourages eating well at work. He also explores the politics of dietetics, how best to secure funding for research, and how to accessing research papers.
