Episode #123 Featuring Dr. Jin-Xiong She!   Inside the mind of a world renowned NAD+ EXPERT!  Everything you need to know about NAD+!!

My conversation with Dr Jin is filled with deep insight, yet Dr. She is extremely animated and flat out FUN to listen to.  His knowledge of NAD is extraordinary but the way he conveys the messaging is unlike most teachers and speakers you hear.  Our back and forth is full of synergy, with discussion that is easy to understand but filled with science, facts, yet joy and smiles as we go back and forth.  His positive energy not only resonates in the room but you can feel it during our entire conversation!  

We start right off going into the science behind NAD and into the relation with aging.  Dr. Jin provides deep insight into the direct correlation between NAD levels and their effect on aging.  We carry this directly in to how low NAD effect our health and why it is imperative to get our levels into a health range.  This leads into a long discussion into longevity and then the implications NAD has on heart health.  I press Dr. Jin to get as much info as I can on all the benefits of NAD which transitions into the effect on sleep.  There is a lot of insight many will not be aware on how NAD levels and sleep correlate with one another.  We transition back into another discussion on longevity with more science and facts on the massive role NAD plays into our longevity.  THEN we get into one of my favorite topics, CELLULAR HEALTH.  NAD has a major role in our cellular health and Dr. Jin covers all the bases so that the message is conveyed on how crucial the impact of NAD is on our entire landscape!  We then transition into how to optimize NAD levels with supplementation, navigating through the complexity and misleading world of supplements.  This brings us to NAD precursors and how we need to use a precursor, such as NMN or NR to TRULY optimize our NAD levels.  We then discuss the multitude of ways that are marketed that either mislead or do not help with enhancing our levels, and we specifically dive into NAD infusions.  Dr. Jin helps to diffuse confusion on what we should be taking and what we need to stay away from.

Episode #122 Featuring Dane Johnson!  One man's mission to save the world from Chron's Disease and Colitis!  A story of overcoming insurmountable odds, a mission to save millions with education, solution, inspiration and HOPE! 

When I was introduced to Dane and we got on a call, it was scheduled for 15-20 minutes and 1.5 hours later, we were still going back and forth and my wife walked in to tell me that I was late for my next appointment.  The INSTANT connection with him was amazing and the continued conversations post interview are truly cherished.  He is a one of a kind type of special and I am beyond blessed to have met him and to have the opportunity to share him and his story with the world! 

Our conversation starts off with Dane discussing his incredible journey of overcoming crohn's, through all the pain and suffering, what he endured and how he was able to battle through.   We then get into a detailed explanation of what exactly chron's disease ulcerative colitis are and how many people are affected by them.  We then shift to all aspects of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) from signs and symptoms, to diagnosis, testing and the role that diet plays into it.  Dane dives deep into the environmental factors and we shift to a entertaining back and forth about gut balance, microbiome and conventional vs non conventional treatments.  This leads us into a discussion on digestive health and autoimmune diseases.  Dane moves forward providing insight into the role of pathogens in chronic illness, touching on many aspects not often discussed.  We then talk about every day toxins and the huge impact they have on our health, along with detoxification and drainage pathways.  We have a big discussion on dietary needs, food as medicine and the importance of personalized diets.  Dane then provides his list of special hacks for ease of building health and wellness.  We finish with my favorite topic of the POWER OF HOPE AND BELIEF.

Episode #120 Featuring Angelo Keely!   The Amino Acids CLINIC you have been waiting for!!  The most detailed and intricate break down of amino acids to date!  

If you follow me closely then you know I am very careful and selective when it comes to discussing brands, particular ones in the supplement industry.  I have seen far too many agendas and companies pitching their owners or "sales people" to come on podcasts and leverage their business without true care or unbiased science behind their interviews so when I was approached about having Angelo on, given he is the owner of Kion, I was highly skeptical.  After talking with him, seeing his passion, care and immense knowledge base along with seeing how much time, money and effort were put into the Kion brand, particularly the amino acids, it was a no brainer to have him on!  

One of the top selling supplements in existence are amino acids.  One of the most misunderstood and oversaturated supplements are amino acids.  One of the most useful but also compromised supplements are, yes, you guessed it, amino acids.  Differentiation between EAA's and BCAA's, what actually works, how these are made with filler ingredients, timing, efficacy, and what they ACTUALLY do are all highly confusing and polarizing topics.  In over 20 years in the supplement industry I have YET to have someone on either side of the fence break down amino acids like Angelo does in our interview.  He is 20 steps ahead of every question asked and gives unbiased factual insight on the widest variety of questions in our interview from the differences between EAA's and BCAA's, explaining that BCAA's on their own are essentially useless.  We go into a discussion on proper timing, which, when properly explained shows MULTITUDES of prime times to take them.  I push him on the differences and purposeful use between protein powders and aminos and the TRUE effect on muscle growth, lean mass obtainment and weight loss.  Angelo breaks down the amounts different types of people need and can tolerate and gives a master class on the true science behind how they actually work within our bodies.  

What I love about this interview is that his company is based around his TRUE LOVE for the science and the benefits, not the profit.  He cares about educating but also making a product that is truly pure and clean.  We discussed the many fillers, additives and harmful blends on the market and why he has gone the extra mile to ensure people are not only educated but also have their health as the primary purpose and care!  He is an extremely special person and such a huge asset to our community!  My hope is more business owners take his lead and example and prioritize the people that support them FIRST!  Get ready to learn EVERYTHING AMINOS!  DO NOT MISS THIS EPISODE!!

Episode #115 Shortcuts Lead to a Longer Road!

In this episode my goal is simple yet direct... Far too many times we all try to short cuts, looking for an easier way or for things to somehow just magically happen with little to no effort.  Life does not work that way... You cannot outwork a bad diet or out supplement bad health.  It takes discipline and consistency with a willingness to fail and use it as a mechanism to reach success.  I spent years of looking for easier ways out, often making things much more difficult for myself as opposed to working hard, taking in everything as a tool of learning to ultimately bring on success.  Everything in life takes work and effort and when we realize that, we not only find more success but greater health and happiness!

Episode #114 Featuring Dr. Susan Chobanian!   The Queen of Rhinoplasty!  The PATIENT FIRST Plastic Surgeon!

My interview with Dr. Susan was a breath of fresh air.  Her true desire to be a patient first plastic surgeon is unlike I have ever seen.  The authenticity that I felt from her and the care in which she exudes to her patients mentally and physically is second to none.  This interview opened up a new side to ETHICS and how valuable and important they are!!  

Our conversation starts off with a discussion on Dr. Susan's long path into cosmetic surgery and how she became known as the QUEEN OF RHINOPLASTY. This leads into the changes in what patients desire from plastic surgery.  She divulges into the mind of the patient, discussing different reasons for plastic surgery, and this portion highlights that there is stigma that it is always about being vain when in reality, there are serious traumas and/or personal issues people are suffering from that brings on the want for surgery.  She then explains what rejuvenation therapy truly is, along with the importance of maintenance and how different her approach is from others.  This leads into an explanation on new methods and treatments that are becoming available to everyone.  She then explains her entire consultation process and how deep she goes into care along with what factors into her professional recommendations.  Then we come to my favorite part which covers ETHICS.  Dr. Susan lives by a standard of ETHICS, where she is known as the patient first plastic surgeon, helping not only to only be ethical in surgical recommendations but post patient care to ensure the patients stay happy NOT ONLY with her procedures but also offering other guidance to ensure long lasting health and longevity.  Dr. Susan then takes my multitudes of questions on procedures from face lifts, to botox, on to fillers and more!  We then move to everyone's favorite topic... PEPTIDES and Susan shows true excitement in explaining her love for peptides and discussing her current stack.  We close with a talk on the impact of cosmetic surgery on patients' lives.  Dr. Susan shows TRUE care throughout and she brings hope to everyone that there ARE great surgeons out there that TRULY PUT THEIR PATIENTS FIRST!  DO NOT MISS THIS EPISODE!!
