Peptide foundations, GLP micro-dosing, hormone optimization, and the peptides most people are using wrong — Hunter Williams and Taylor sit down with Sarah Morgan, nutritional biochemist and founder of Amino Academy, for one of the most educational peptide conversations on the internet.
Sarah comes from a family of cardiologists, holds a Master's in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, and has 20 years of clinical practice. She's one of the sharpest voices in the peptide space — and this is the inaugural episode recorded in Hunter & Taylor's brand new studio.
In this episode:
Want to go deeper on everything Sarah covered in this episode? Amino Academy is the most comprehensive peptide education course available — built for anyone who wants to actually understand the science, not just follow trends.

A lot of guys get on TRT, see their hematocrit go up, and immediately get told they need to start donating blood or doing routine phlebotomy. In this episode, I break down why that conversation is usually way more nuanced than most people realize. I walk through what hematocrit actually is, why testosterone raises it, and why a higher number on paper does not automatically mean something is dangerous. We talk about how hydration status, sauna use, cardio, lab timing, sleep apnea, insulin resistance, inflammation, and metabolic health all change what that number really means in the real world. I also explain why I think routine blood donation is often overused in men on TRT and how it can create its own problems by driving down iron and ferritin. Most importantly, I give you a practical framework for when I think hematocrit is usually a non-issue, when it deserves more attention, and what I would adjust before ever jumping straight to phlebotomy. This is a deeper dive into one of the most misunderstood topics in testosterone therapy, and my goal is to help you think about it with a much better framework.

In this episode, I’m revisiting DADA, a compound I first talked about a couple years ago, and giving you my updated thoughts now that I’ve personally used it for a long time. I break down what DADA actually is, how it works as a metabolic modulator, and why I view it as one of the most underrated performance-enhancing tools in this category. To me, it feels very similar to MOTS-c in practice, but in some cases it may even give a stronger performance edge.
I walk through the mechanism behind DADA, including how it affects PDK and PDH to improve mitochondrial energy production, glucose oxidation, ATP output, and metabolic flexibility. I also explain why I think many people notice better training endurance, better pumps, improved cardio capacity, and the ability to push harder before hitting that wall of fatigue and lactate buildup.
I also cover the human data we do have, especially around liver health, fatty liver disease, and lipid markers, along with how I personally think about dosing, why I prefer injectable use for performance, and where people need to be careful not to overdo it. This is an updated, practical breakdown of why DADA has become a staple in my own routine.

In this episode, I’m diving deep into Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, or MCAS, and why it’s such a big topic in the peptide world. If you’ve been around peptides long enough, you’ve probably seen it — certain people react strongly to compounds like CJC, ipamorelin, or other common peptides, and suddenly they’re dealing with flushing, hives, GI distress, tachycardia, or brain fog.
I break down what MCAS actually is, why some people are genetically predisposed, and why others develop it from environmental triggers, infections, autoimmune issues, or nervous system dysregulation. I also explain why traditional antihistamines often fall short — because they treat symptoms, not the upstream immune imbalance.
Then I walk through my comprehensive MCAS stack: LDN, Thymosin Alpha-1, Thymalin, KPV, VIP, PEA, and even GLP-1 receptor agonists. I explain the mechanisms, dosing strategies, when to introduce each one, and how to think about this in phases instead of expecting a magic bullet.
This isn’t a cure-all, but it’s what I’ve seen work coaching hundreds of people. If you’re sensitive to peptides or trying to get back to baseline after reactions, this episode will give you a structured roadmap.

In this episode, I’m breaking down one of the most misunderstood longevity peptides out there, FOXO4-DRI. It’s a senolytic, meaning it’s designed to help clear senescent “zombie cells” that accumulate over time from stress, aging, inflammation, and environmental load. Think of it like a tune-up for the body. It’s not a peptide you run for fat loss or acute injury healing. This is the kind of compound you may use once or twice per year to help keep the internal ecosystem cleaner, less inflamed, and functioning at a higher level.
I walk you through what FOXO4-DRI is, where it came from, and the core mechanism that makes it interesting. Specifically, how it disrupts the FOXO4–p53 interaction inside senescent cells, triggers apoptosis, and largely spares healthy tissue. Then I cover what the animal data actually shows, what we can realistically expect in humans, and why the effects can feel “cumulative” over a few weeks, similar to how some people describe SS-31.
I also share my personal reason for using it right now in the context of fertility and overall health optimization, plus the dosing strategies I’ve seen online versus the protocol I personally prefer.

In this episode, I’m doing a long-overdue update on one of my favorite “adjacent” peptides that almost nobody talks about the right way: Pinealon (Pineolon). Despite what most people assume, Pinealon is not the pineal gland bioregulator, but it does work powerfully on the brain and central nervous system, and in my experience it’s one of the best tools for circadian rhythm, sleep quality, and overall brain performance.
I break down what Pinealon actually is a synthetic Russian-developed tripeptide, why the injectable form is the one I prefer, and what the research suggests about how it works at the cellular level. We’ll talk mechanisms like MAPK/ERK signaling, antioxidant effects in neurons, mitochondrial support, and why it may help reduce brain cell death and protect synaptic integrity.
Then I get practical: the real-world benefits people notice, how I think about Pinealon for travel, jet lag, stress-heavy seasons, concussion history, tinnitus, and long-term brain aging, plus how I dose it. I’ll also cover side effects I’ve seen (including timing-related restlessness), and the stacks I like most, especially pairing it with Epitalon or Cerebrolysin.
If you want a deep dive on a peptide that quietly overdelivers, this is the one.
