As we continue our march toward the season, we preview one of the biggest matchups on the Texas Longhorns' schedule annually -- the newly-renamed Red River Rivalry against the Oklahoma Sooners.
Coming off of their worst showing since the 90's, Brent Venables and Oklahoma need to rebound quickly as they enter the last year of their membership in the Big 12. Not only that, but some Sooner fans are already growing impatient with the struggles of 2022. To help us preview OU, we welcome back certified friend of the show @K_Mehrabian of the Bud, Barry, Bob, and Beer Podcast.

We bring you our second Texas Longhorns schedule preview today, diving in on the Houston Cougars with the help of our friends over at the Scott & Holman Pawdcast.
Dana Holgorsen and his staff have to break in new players at the offensive skill positions, while also trying to uplevel a defense that struggled mightily a year ago. How can they juggle all of that work while also making the move to a new league?

We're back on schedule for our Texas Longhorns season preview as we dive in on our first new conference opponent, the BYU Cougars.
Long-time coach Kalani Sitake is in a tough position, replacing key skill players on offense while also completely retooling the defense after a disastrous run on that side of the ball a year ago. He needs to manage all of that while taking the Cougars into a season as a conference member for the first time in more than a decade.
We welcome Garrett McClintock of the Give 'em Hell Bringham podcast to help us preview the Cougars.

The Texas Longhorns took the stage at Big 12 football media days for the final time, which means football is closer than we think.
Steve Sarkisian, Quinn Ewers, Xavier Worthy, and more discussed what they expect from the team and each other this year, why this year might be different, and what we should watch for in the season.

We continue our trek through the Texas Longhorns' position groups with a stop at the wide receivers and tight ends.
Much like the running backs, the Longhorns boast a TON of talent in the wide receiver room but the floor of the group is uncertain heading into the season. Xavier Worthy worthy is hoping to rebound from a mild sophomore slump, while Jordan Whittington hopes to have a contract year, and the additions of AD Mitchell and Isaiah Neyor hope to pay off for themselves and the Longhorns.
Not to mention JT Sanders and the talented group of incoming freshmen.

The Texas Longhorns are in the unenviable position of having to replace both Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson, two players who drove the offense a year ago.
That being said the Longhorns have a stable of young, talented, but unproven backs to try and fill the two massive holes left from a year ago. In every year as a head coach, Steve Sarkisian has had a 1,000-yard rusher so what will it look like and will that streak stay alive in a post-Bijan/Roschon world?

We continue our preview of the Texas Longhorns' 2023 season and have made our way to the defending Big 12 Champions, the Kansas State Wildcats.
A year ago, KSU won just its third conference championship ever post-World War II and the first one coached by someone other than Bill Snyder. In year five, Chris Klieman may face one of the toughest challenges of his tenure in Manhattan, replacing Malik Knowles and Deuce Vaughn as expectations for the program rise.
So what can we expect from Kansas State in 2023?

As we move into the dog days of summer, we start to dive into our position-by-position preview for the Texas Longhorns starting with the quarterback.
Quinn Ewers led the charge for Texas a year ago, looking like a different quarterback before his injury against the Alabama Crimson Tide and through the rest of the season. So what do we expect for the junior signal-caller in his second year in the program and what will happen

We continue through our weekly schedule preview with the TCU Horned Frogs and Melissa Triebwasser of The Frogs Insider Podcast.
We dive in on what the mood and expectations are like following an unexpected run at a national championship, how TCU will replace key talent -- and a coordiantor -- on the offensive side of the ball, and how good can the defense be as they try to figure it all out.

As the academic and athletic season comes to a close, we take a moment to pause on a successful year in spite of a few disappointing endings to the year and finishing behind the Stanford Cardinal in the Director's Cup standings. We bring on Brett Wilkinson, the man behind the Director's Cupdates Twitter account, to help us look back at where things could have gone differently.
We also move onto week two of our season preview series with Game 11, the Iowa State Cyclones. We welcome back longtime friend of the show Levi Stevenson to help us dive in on an Iowa State team dealing with something brand new for them -- uncertainty.
