In this birth story, Sally discovers during her labor induction that her baby is breech and is rushed back for a Cesarean section. After her sudden C-section birth, Sally decides she wants a vaginal birth after C-section (VBAC) with her second baby. She hires Gina to be her doula, and wants to labor at home as long as possible before heading to the nearby hospital. Sally arrives at the hospital at 7-8 centimeters and has her VBAC!

Sophia is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in women’s fertility. Her greatest area of expertise is helping women tailor their nutrition and lifestyles to support healthy progesterone production, strengthen their luteal phases, and increase their chances of healthy implantation and pregnancy.
Sophia studied nutrition at Bastyr University, a naturopathic medical school, and has been working to help women build their families since 2015 with online resources, courses, and as a co-host of the Food, Freedom, and Fertility podcast.
She is also a proud military wife and mother of two daughters. Sophia loves food, loves to laugh, and can rattle off more quotes from The Office than you’d ever want to hear.

In this birth story, Lauren shares her second birth where she discovers her baby is breech near the end of her pregnancy. Lauren was planning a birth at a freestanding birth center, but scrambled to find a new provider that would support a vaginal breech birth!

14: Genesis’s Two Birth Stories: Hospital Births with Epidural and then Unmedicated
In this birth story, Genesis shares her two hospital birth stories! Genesis had Gina as her doula for both her births and worked out at the MamasteFit gym throughout both her pregnancies and postpartum periods.
Genesis first birth was a long labor, and eventually she decided to get an epidural after several days of laboring. For her second birth, Genesis switched to a new provider and had an unmedicated birth!

In this Birth Story Friday episode, Audrey shares her two scheduled Cesarean birth stories. Towards the end of her first pregnancy, Audrey found out that her baby was breech, and after an unsuccessful. ECV, she opted have a scheduled Cesarean birth. At four months postpartum, she found out that she was pregnant with her second child, so she opted for another schedule Cesarean birth (which was a very different experience from her first!). Roxane and Gina discuss the risks of having a short interval pregnancy, meaning your pregnancies are really close together, and why Audrey may have opted to have another scheduled Cesarean birth. We also talk about how our prenatal fitness can not only support our birth, but also our recovery, even if you're having a scheduled Cesarean birth!
