Happy day-that's-not-Sunday, Soothers! I'm dropping this special mid-week episode to round up some gems of wisdom to help you get through the holiday season here in America beginning with Thanksgiving, but these hot takes can apply all year long. On my Instagram the past few weeks I've been sharing my tips on creating better boundaries with others, how to protect your energy while traveling or while staying in others' homes or spaces, and then my personal reflection on gratitude, why I (shocker) really struggle with gratitude practices, and what I do instead. I hope these help you!

Welcome to the final episode of Magic Month here on the Sunday Soother! I hope you have so enjoyed the wonderful guest interviews and my takes on magic. In this last episode, I talk about the magic that can be found in connecting with your ancestors, beginning to heal ancestral traumas, and finding your place in the chain of the universe by understanding your place in your ancestral lineage.
In today's episode, I give examples of how ancestral connections relate to magic; three stories of how I have connected with my ancestors; and then share several practical tangible ideas about how you can begin your own ancestral work.
After all, today is Samhain, and this time of the year is one in many cultures where the veil is considered thin and we are more easily able to connect with and honor our ancestors. So let us begin!

Welcome to another wonderful interview for Magic Month! Today I have a conversation with Siri Vincent Plouff, a practicing witch of over 20 years. We talk about how witchcraft is a potent practice that can help to rewild us, and get us outside of the worldview of capitalism and white supremacy and build something different, and also get us tangible results to better our lives, repair our relationship with the land, and sustain our communities. There's so much more including ancestral connections, Siri's work with their Nordic roots, folkloric magic, running a business as a witch, and more.
Siri Vincent Plouff, the Northern Lights Witch, is committed to ethical witchcraft inspired by the past, envisioning a radical future. They are a practitioner of Nordic roots and folkloric witchcraft. Through connecting with their ancestry, they work to heal and repair öorlog. They believe in a Nordic magic that is open to all regardless of race, sexuality, or gender identity.

We hear a lot these days about manifestation but, uh... what exactly is it? How does it work? What does it have to do with magic? And how is it different from goal or intention-setting (hint, I don't think it totally is!)?
On the podcast today for Magic Month I have Katie Jones, a Manifestation Coach, Breathwork Facilitator, and Spiritual Witch on a mission to help the world heal through the power of aligned, intentional manifestation. We have an intriguing and joyful conversation around the topic of manifestation and how you might be able to approach it in a way that works for you.

Hi Soothers, and welcome to another interview of Magic Month, where I'm interviewing people to help us better understand what magic is, how it works, and how you can begin engaging with it in the world. Today I interview Melinda Lim. Melinda is a multi-disciplinary witch who focuses on shadow healing and also helping the witch-curious decolonize their spiritual practices. She is also a lawyer who teaches witchy business owners the legal side of business. We have a wide-ranging convo on everything from her definition of magic and being a witch, to the importance of shadow work, her Tarot and ancestral practices, how she's integrating being both a lawyer and a witch, and so much more!
You can find Melinda on Instagram @the.melinda.lim
Here is the anxiety vs. intuition training I mention in the episode as well.

Hello Soothers, happy October, and happy MAGIC MONTH!!! That's right, on the Sunday Soother, October is a theme of magic. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to dive deep into magic. What do you think of when you magic? Harry Potter shooting bolts out of his wand? A magician drawing a rabbit out of a hat? A witch stirring over a cauldron deep in the woods? Chanting spells in a dark room with a coven?
As somebody who deeply believes in and uses magic in her life I wanted to redefine magic, help you to understand it practically, and why it's really not that different from topics you're already learning from me: intention, authenticity, inspired action, intuition.
Tune in to today's episode to hear how I define magic, how and why I use magic in my life, my experiencing learning to trust in magic, and some simple ways you can start to practically apply magic in your own life (no, you don't have to identify as a witch or do complicated spells with complicated ingredients).
I'll also preview the three amazing witches I'm interviewing the rest of the month.
Even if you don't believe in magic or are skeptical about it, I encourage you to tune in, the exercises and approaches I'll be teaching today can be used by anybody, whether or not you believe they're "magical."

Hi Soothers! Today I offer you several practices and exercises to step out of the self-pity cycle and step into your intentional, authentic power. Sensitive women often are stuck in self-pity as a mode of staying safe, and it can be hard for us to release it because it often feels scary to do so and step into our power. I'm here to offer you gentle perspectives and exercises on how to begin to unhook from self-pity, and step into your authentic self.
