In today's episode, I give you a little catch-up on my life, how I'm navigating post-vaccine life acceleration (poorly!) and I tell about a little concept I call "the gray fog:" the state of murky fear and disconnection that sensitive women can end up in, simultaneously feeling like "I have a good life, I should feel more grateful," "And how the hell did I end up here and what can I do about it?"
Stay tuned next week where I will detail the 3 ways in which sensitive women end up in the gray fog, and give you more information about Soothe, my year-long mastermind for sensitive women.
Soothe opens for enrollment on July 1 to the public.

Do you ever try to calm down in a moment of anxiety or anger by breathing or meditating and actually end up feeling worse? You're not alone. I see people try to take care of their nervous systems with a bandaid approach that doesn't help sustain long-term wellbeing. In today's episode I discuss what the nervous system does; its different states; how we can cultivate self-compassion by better understanding how our nervous system works; why regulating and taking care of it in a preventative, holistic and regular way is important; and share several tips for how to do that.

Today I tell you a simple but powerful method for dealing with negative thoughts: the judge, the prosecution, and the public defender. It sounds silly, but it super works for me, and I hope it will for you, too.

It's been 100 episodes of The Sunday Soother!!!
To mark this occasion, I'm sharing my philosophy and approach of personal transformation that I call the forest, the meadow, and the river of misery.
Many of us are living in a forest without realizing it. Some of us make it to out the forest only to be faced with what I call the river of misery: the difficult experience of truly going after the dreams we want, whether it's self-love, a partner, or a new career. Most people will turn back from the river of misery, assuming because, well, it's miserable, that something has gone wrong. But it hasn't. And if you can cross the river of misery, you can root and flourish in the truly beautiful meadow beyond its banks.
I learned the phrase "the river of misery" from Brooke Castillo of the Life Coach School and I forgot to credit her in the audio. ALSO I SEE A SNAKE AND I SCREAM REALLY LOUD during the recording, my apologies (I was recording outside as I am wont to do),
Finally, at the end of the podcast I tell you about my upcoming mastermind for sensitive women, Soothe. The waitlist for that is here.

In today's podcast, I talk about thought work and self-coaching: the tools by which you can literally learn to change your negative/unsupportive/intentional thoughts to get better results in your life.
I've found these tools very powerful. But there was a steep learning curve for me in using them, and, I suspect, for other sensitive people who struggle with a larger volume of thoughts; more negative thoughts in general; and a reluctance to explore our negative thoughts.
But I want you to get the results that you desire in your life, and the more I use this model, the more I acknowledge: our results begin with our thoughts. So if we want better results, we must learn to change our thoughts.
In this episode I teach you how I have adopted and adapted thought work as a sensitive person to get great effects. This is *not* positive thinking: this is identity and belief shifting work that can give us the life of our dreams.

In today's brief podcast ep, I talk about two inevitable realities when it comes to your own healing and personal growth: It often really sucks and is painful for a while; and also, you don't have to wait til you're "healed" (or less anxious, or thinner, or more confident, or less wounded, or in a better job, or whatever thing you've told yourself you have to be, or solve,) to begin living your beautiful life. Do it, right now.

In today's episode I discuss one of the reasons sensitive women overidentify with work, and why that overidentification, and lack of sense of self overall, can make it particularly hard to do something like leave your 9-5 or corporate career to work for yourself or start a business.
I'm hosting a workshop on removing blocks to entrepreneurship for sensitive women April 21, 7pmET, replay available, purchase tix here.
I'm also accepting applications for a new small group program helping sensitive women realize and begin their entrepreneurial dreams. You can read more and apply here.

Today I discuss the concept of the spiritual awakening. What is it? How does it happen? What are its symptoms? How do you know if you are in one? And I share the story of my own spiritual awakening.
