Nina helps women over forty end their war with food and make peace with their body.  She is a Certified Psychology of Eating Coach and Holistic Health Coach. Nina is the author of “Feed Your Kids Well in a World That Doesn’t: An Everyday Guide to Make Healthy Food Happen in your Home and Beyond.”

Nina works with women who want to create a healthy, positive relationship with themselves.  She specializes in helping smart women who have tried many ways of feeling good in their body, and are still challenged to make healthy living choices happen consistently and sustainably in their busy life.

    • We have different ways that nourish us and we have to work on all the levels.
    • Without working on all three levels (food, lifestyle, and mindset) you won’t make the shift to eating healthy consistently.
    • Most of us are in sympathetic nervous system mode – fight or flight, or stress mode.
    • We need more parasympathetic mode – rest and digest, or tend and befriend (reconnect and slow down).
    • Fight or flight mode causes our metabolism to slow down, and our immune system to weaken.
    • Rest and digest mode helps our body burn calories better and speeds up your metabolism!
    • Set your timer and meditate for two minutes before you eat. This will naturally slow down your eating and bring you out of stress mode.
    • Easy and actionable to shift out of stress mode = Hello Technique: 1) Hello food. 2) Hello body. 3) Hello pleasure.
    • Love the food that will love you back.
    • When you slow down you really start to listen to what your body needs.
