  • 32. From Building Major Construction Projects To Becoming A Financial Advisor? - An Interview With Rob Trampuh, Owner Of Timber Peak Construction

In this episode of The Real Build, I sat down with Rob Trampuh, the Owner of Timber Peak Construction.  Rob was a top builder in his area that has built everything from larger commercial jobs to green building practice, home building, general contracting, modular, prefab, industrial, and any size renovation.  Within the past twenty years, he has done it all when it comes to construction.

Rob went through some life-changing events, which propelled him into making significant changes to better his own life. About a year ago, Rob made a massive career shift and went way outside of what he knows in construction and began his journey in the financial world as a financial advisor.

Rob now works as a business associate with World Financial Group, where their mission is to give people from all backgrounds the power to become financial service business owners so that every family can access financial knowledge, products, and resources to prepare for a better future.

  • 31. An Impactful 2019 And Why 2020 Will Be Even Greater

In this episode of The Real Build, I wanted to reflect on the past year and tell you more about my life.  I made a significant choice that has affected my entire life.

So this year has been a crazy year for me. Filled with good and bad things and I want to discuss these things with my audience and how they have made me better.

It started when I wanted to work on my personal development.  I joined a group full of driven entrepreneurs that want to better themselves called the Arete Syndicate.

    This group helped

    · Force me out of my shell

    · Made me want to reach higher and perform bigger

    · Opened my eyes to my surroundings

    · Formed routines

    · It made me think of business differently in a lot of ways and what I need to do to get better.

I was looking at my life in a lot of different ways and realized a lot was holding me back. One of my mentors, Ed Mylett, said that we would make a few significant choices throughout our lives that would alter our paths, whether it's in your faith, business, friendships, family, or relationships. You blink, and you are five years older and in the same place. I realized all these things were being affected by my relationship.

I wasn’t happy. It was toxic. It wasn’t changing because I was with someone not willing to change.

I got a divorce last spring.

I'm sure they're a lot of people out there that are stuck like I was.

After making that choice, yes, I lost money, but I swore to myself that I would make it back 10x fast, and I have because I was free.

This helped me become myself again. It has enhanced every avenue in my life, including family, relationships, faith, and business. It enabled me to do things I would never have done before. This podcast was one of those things. I have met so many new people over the past months and expanded my network like crazy. My client base has grown, real estate business is better than ever, and I'm about to grow our construction business as I've always wanted to.

So if your stuck, evaluate what is holding you back. Where will you be two years, 5, 10 years from now?

My goals this year are as follows:

    1. Continue to grow this podcast and help people and meet new people.

    2. Appear on 20 other podcasts or youtube channels.

    3. Finally, expand RK Reiman Into Naples and establish our brand as a premier luxury home builder.

    4. Continue the growth of Reiman Properties and hire a couple of salespeople to my team.

    5. Buy a rental property.

    6. Build and sell more spec homes.

    7. At least 20 million in Real Estate sales.

    8. Stay consistent with my fitness and health.

  • 30. Modular Home building And Leveraging Video To Bring The Building Industry Together - An Interview With Dave Cooper, Owner Of Connecticut Valley Homes.

In this episode of The Real Build, I had a conversation with Dave Cooper of Connecticut Valley Homes.  Dave is a modular home builder.  Dave and I discuss the benefits of modular building versus your traditional site construction.  There are a lot of misconceptions about modular home building.  Modular homes offer a ton of benefits such as faster build times, better quality, more efficiency, and a reliable product.  Modular construction is becoming the go-to form of building in a lot of areas because of the lack of quality labor.  Larger building companies are moving towards modular building.

Dave also has used video to not only build his brand but to teach people in the building industry that there are alternative routes to building a home.  Dave is on a mission to help bring people in the building industry together so that we can build more efficiently and affordably.  He believes in the art of conversation to connect people and to grow the construction industry.  He interviews people in the building industry to help drive the building industry forward, be part of the change that's happening, and innovation to help solve the affordable housing crisis.

  • 29. Using Social Media And Brand To Create A Lasting Impact With Clients - An Interview With Mike Sherrard "The Purple Realtor"

In this episode of The Real Build, I sat down with Mike Sherrard, known for his international brand "The Purple Realtor." Mike is a top producing realtor in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  After studying engineering, Mike decided that wasn't the path he wanted to be on and decided to turn his passion for homes into a career of helping people buy and sell them.  Mike thought outside of the box and went all-in on social media when nobody in his area was.  He has built a brand many people know and trust.  His success has made him one of the top 30 worldwide influential realtors on social media.

Mike and I discuss how powerful social media is and how it should be used as a tool in every business.  We discuss how we both use social media to deliver value to our clients, and how using social media to help people has helped both of our companies grow.  Mike talks about tactics that he has used to create success in business and how everyone needs to take full advantage of social media platforms.

  • 27. Implementing The Right Systems To Better Manage A Construction Business - An Interview With Todd Dawalt Of Construction Leading Edge

In this episode of The Real Build, I talked with Todd Dawalt.  He is the owner of Construction Leading Edge, where he helps construction business owners boost revenue, put financial worries behind them, and turn their company into a well-oiled machine.

Dawalt has a website and top-rated podcast dedicated to helping construction leaders grow both their leadership skills and their income.

Too many small construction businesses are closing their doors every year. These companies are owned by good, hard-working people who put it all on the line to run a business. However, in many cases, while they are keen on the technical aspect, they are not as sharp when it comes to business and leadership.

This is what happened to Todd Dawalt.

Todd owned a construction business for nearly four years but had to shut it down in 2005. It was the worst few years of his life.

Todd set out to help people avoid making the same mistakes he made. Todd decided to create a website and podcast to share what he knows, interview some people who are doing it right, and make it available to the public so we can improve our industry in the area of business and leadership.

Todd and I discussed a variety of topics that construction businesses should be doing to benefit themselves and the customers they serve.

Thank you for listening, and all I ask for is that you take the time to write a review.

  • 23. Meticulous Attention To Detail In Every Interior Design Project - An Interview With Nina Takesh Of Nina Takesh Designs

In this episode of The Real Build, I was privileged to sit down with award-winning interior designer Nina Takesh.  Nina is an interior designer in Beverly Hills, California.  She has worked with many high profile clients such as Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, and many more.  She is the Co-Founder, CEO, and creative force behind the Luxury Brand Petit Tresor.  Nina has been featured by premier publications and websites including Wallstreet Journal and People Magazine.  She also worked in Paris at Fashion House Guy Laroch.

Nina and I talked about many design topics and trends, and discussed how having an eye for detail is rare in our industries.  We both can agree we believe we were born to be in the construction and design industries.  Growing up, Nina always loved architecture.  She used to look at magazines and draw different interiors.  Fast forward to today and she is one of the best designers in Beverly Hills.

We all either do what we do because we love it and have a passion for it or we do something we don't enjoy and it shows.  Nina's passion for designing homes, making the process easier for her clients, and knowing how homes are built inside and out has made her stand out from the rest of the competition.

As always, I appreciate you all listening.  The Real Build is a movement to help teach people about the Real Estate and Construction industries, and help guide you while making one of the biggest investments of your life.
