But eventually, the truth hit me:
They were only reflecting back what I unknowingly taught them.
I didn’t know how to deal with conflict—so I used sarcasm. Snarky jabs. Silence.
I thought I was defending myself… but I was modeling passive aggression.
Now I see:
This child who won’t speak to me learned that silence… from me.
This isn’t about blame.
This is about owning our part in the story—so we can rewrite the ending.
Healing starts when we stop pointing fingers… and start looking in the mirror.
