In this episode I want to share everything about the Hormone Project. It's a program I have been working on for the last 2 decades and it is directed at women of all ages:
For today's episode, I am accompanied by Tara Thorne. Tara is a functional nutritionist and founder of the Hormone Balance solution, she helps busy mums lose weight, balance their hormones, and feel great so they can go from snappy, uncomfortable, and fatigued to feeling calm, being able to play with the kids again, fit into their favourite pair of jeans once more and live their best life without having to give up wine, chocolate, or coffee.
In today's episode, you will hear a deep conversation about estrogen; low, high and how the gut is implicated in the excess of it. You will find all the information you need regarding testing appropriately for estrogen and how can you support your estrogen levels nutritionally, with supplements and with your everyday lifestyle choices.
Here are the main topics that Tara and I discussed in this fabulous show:
Wishing this episode has given you a healthy dose of knowledge and inspiration, and that it empowers you to know that you can cure yourself, don't give up your power to anyone! Wishing more simplicity and ease in all that you do!

These are the main topics you will hear in this amazing conversation:
Last weekend I participated in a Fitness Competition! I had been training and preparing myself for several months for this event, and I wanted to share my experience, my reasons and my insights with all of you.
If you have set a "big goal" for yourself — whatever it may be — this episode is for you! I realized that the steps we take and the support systems we set up for ourselves are what propel us to reach our dreams (regardless of what our goal is about!).
These are the main topics of this inspiring show:
In today's episode I am going to share with you the impact that alcohol has on our bodies, I know this is a difficult topic, since a glass of wine is very often related to socializing, celebrations, and relaxing… Hold on there! I am not going to tell you not to drink, but awareness needs to be brought to this subject.
In this episode, I will address some facts about how our female bodies manage alcohol and also some practical tips and strategies I personally use and recommend in my practice. I want to share with you my own experience related to this topic, since I drink alcohol and there was a time when I used to drink more than I do now; I will give you the details about how my body responded, how I felt and why I decided to significantly reduce the amounts of alcohol that I drink. I also want to share the things that I choose to indulge myself, since it's not all about restriction after all!
Here are the main topics you will hear about in this awesome episode:
Dr. Leigha Saunders, ND is the founder of True Roots Health Care in Uxbridge and today's conversation is dedicated to talking about sleep, emphasizing the reasons why sleep is so important and how it can impact our health and our hormones when we are not getting enough of it.
Dr. Leigha is a naturopathic doctor who recurrently sees in her practice that most health issues have their roots in nutritional deficiencies and chronic stress, and when these two aspects are corrected, the body recovers its natural ability to heal and turn into a more vibrant state.
Dr. Leigha has come to realize there are 4 fundamental principles to putting your health first and these are sleep, movement, nutrition, and mindset, she will dive deep into these four aspects and give practical and actionable advice for you to start changing your sleep habits to improve your overall health.
Here are some of the main topics addressed in this amazing conversation:
This episode is one of a kind! Susan S. Bratton is my guest today, she is an advocate for passionate relationships, and is considered an expert on sex. Susan has the ability to break down concepts such as libido, arousal, communication, and intimacy. Susan is an author, a renowned speaker and a serial entrepreneur who teaches passionate lovemaking techniques to people all around the world.
I consider this conversation to be very relevant since one of the most common struggles women present to me during the Hormone Project, is that they are even not having intimacy, having painful intercourse, suffer from vaginal dryness and overall feel disconnected from their bodies. These topics are often very difficult to address, being very taboo, and leave women suffering behind closed doors. This episode is meant to bring these recurrent problems to light, you are not alone!
These are the main topics addressed in this open and meaningful conversation about sex, passion, and relationships:
I am delighted to welcome an amazing guest today, Carinne Chambers-Saini who has brought a product that I have been recommending in my projects. This is an innovative product where it comes to femenine hygiene and our monthly menstrual cycles. Carinne has completely disrupted the industry by providing an eco-friendly and comfortable menstrual cup, that offer a way to better support our bodies.
During this conversation you will hear about the reasons why you should be choosing something different from the traditional tampons and panty liners, due to the impact these have in our bodies overall.
These are the main subjects addressed in this awesome conversation:
Hoping this episode has contributed to breaking down the stigma about menstruation and that you feel motivated to shift to the menstrual cup knowing the benefits that are implied with this change for your health as a whole. Wishing more simplicity and ease in all that you do!

Carinne Chambers-Saini knew from an early age that she wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps, both as an entrepreneur and an advocate for women's health. She went into business with her mother in 2001 to create the DivaCup and take it from a niche product to a mainstream menstrual care option. The DivaCup is now available in North America wherever pads and tampons are sold and in 22+ countries around the world.
As co-founders of Diva International, Carinne and her mother Francine Chambers have followed a seventeen-year journey, from their kitchen table to the boardroom. They started Diva on a shoe-string budget with one small bank loan, their product often rejected by industry experts as an unwanted threat to the disposables. It wasn't easy competing in a male-dominated industry, but the twosome persisted, never letting the no's discourage them from taking the next step.
While charitable giving has always been a crucial component of Diva's operations, Diva formally launched its corporate social responsibility program, DivaCares, in May 2019. DivaCares is dedicated to eradicating period poverty around the world, and works to create a world where menstruation is a fact of life, not life-limiting. DivaCares has donated 15,000 DivaCups worldwide, and plans to donate an additional 15,000 by April 30, 2020.

"The term "feminine hygiene" implies that our menstruation is something dirty."

This is my first dual interview, joining me are two fabulous guests, Maraya Brown and Missy Rae founders of Beyond The Red Tent. I have been working for many years in creating awareness and supporting women in celebrating our superpower that consists in having our menstrual cycles and an incredible endocrine system.
Beyond The Red Tent was inspired by the book The Red Tent, that I read in my early 20s and which definitely influenced the work that I do today. There is a lack of deep connection in today's society, of sharing our experiences and stories to support each other and to pass on to future generations.
Beyond the Red Tent is a community that has the certainty that every woman deserves to feel safe, valued, vibrant and loved, through access to education and mentorship in an inclusive community, one that is created for women by women.

I am so pleased to have Jill Bunny joining me for this episode. Jill Bunny is the owner of Fit Bunnies Fitness, functional nutritionist, elite trainer, cognitive behavior therapy clinician & speaker advocating total body health to women around the globe.
We will dive deep into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the reasons why we can find so hard to commit to a training program, why we continuously become the bottleneck in our own health journeys, why we tend to say things to ourselves that are not the kindest.
We will also talk about Jill's own personal journey, from being the highest ranked IFBB bikini competitor (with 2 Arnold & Olympian titles) in the world and internationally renowned cover model to an MS and Cancer fighter. Jill, as a result, worked hard to unleash the healing potential within her body and win her own health battle, while helping a lot of other women to do the same.
