This is a continuation from www.jennpike.com/episode54 where I talked about cycle syncing and promised to broaden the topic by talking about moon cycling. Today, I really look at what is in us as well as what is happening outside of us, focusing deeper on this later aspect, in terms of the energetic pole that the moon creates around its four phases in the month that resemble the four phases that women go through during our times for menstruation. For those of you who don't have a period, you need to hear this information, even more than women who are still menstruating, because when you lose that cycle, not having that bleed every month, it is easier to have the feeling that you have lost your connection with femininity and that is simply not true.
These are some of the amazing themes you will hear in this episode:
David Brooke from Skin Essence is joining me again in this episode since we ran out of time in the previous one (Organic, Holistic and Natural Skincare). I got so much great feedback and tons of questions from listeners about the importance of our skin care and about understanding what is in the skin care products we are using, as well as the overall impact that some chemicals can have, not only in how our skin looks and feels, but also internally.
In this episode, we are diving deeper, talking about the hormonal impacts of skincare, since some products work as endocrine and estrogen disruptors. We also talk about the sustainability aspect of our product choices, and how to choose the right products for different types of skin.
Here are the main topics of this eye opening conversation:
I have been listening to all of you, and I heard many questions regarding why we should pay attention to our menstrual cycles, this is the reason why I dedicate this solo episode to highlighting the importance of tapping into your own rhythms and cycles and about the huge impact it has on your body. Stay tuned, because next week's episode is going to be all about moon cycling, aimed to reach those of you that, due to different reasons ( this includes the women using birth control pills), are not having a menstrual cycle at the moment.
In this episode you will hear about:

Today's episode comes from a recording of a Masterclass session held this past September 10th where I decided to compile all the questions that I am usually asked about women's health and answer them in one event where I talked about PMS, hair loss, acne, waking, heavy menstrual cycles, low sex drive, sleep, headaches, the adrenal thyroid connection and so many other issues that women are dealing with month after month.
We often think that we are alone in this journey, feeling overwhelmed and confused, and during this episode I will show you that this is not true, many women experience the same signs and symptoms and are struggling unnecessarily. There are many resources I am delivering to you in this talk in order for you to achieve the solutions you are seeking and to help you do it in a way that doesn't feel so overwhelming.

I am so glad to have Dr. Laura Anderson as a guest on this episode, she is a Naturopathic Physician and part of the team at the Simplicity Project, she is also one of the coaches in the hormone project. Dr. Laura talks about her own journey and how she believed for so many years that she was just fine and didn't need to do any additional testing. Finally, she ended up taking a test out of curiosity and the outcome changed her life.
During this episode, Dr. Laura talks openly about how she changed her lifestyle and the impact this had on her practice and on her clients' lives.

I am so excited to have Ashleigh Norris as a guest for this awesome episode. She is the newest addition to our team at the Simplicity Project and the Hormone Project. Ashleigh will share what working with a Nutritionist really is about, not only knowing which food to choose but how to live our lives.
Ashleigh was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, at the age of 19. She knew nothing about autoimmunity then and made no real changes to her diet or lifestyle. She had no idea of the storm that was brewing inside her body. She lived her twenties out like anyone else and eventually reached a point of adrenal burnout so intense she could not get out of bed for work. That same week — almost a decade later — she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Since that day, everything shifted in her life. She left her high-stress job, enrolled in Nutrition School at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition full time to become a Certified Holistic Nutritionist.
Ashleigh's job is to empower women when it comes to understanding nutrition, so they can feel energized and confident in their own ability to maintain optimal health and happiness long after they're finished working with her.

I am almost 40 years old and I couldn't be more excited about it! I am grateful for every step in my path and for the experiences that led me to the point where I am today. There is a lot I have learned about my own body, I used to think that more was more and less was not enough. I have learned to nourish my body so I can thrive. During these years I have been helping women in their own course of action, struggles and journeys and for this I kept studying and keeping my curiosity alive.
I recently gave birth to my most recent program called Synced, to show every woman there is a way to move, nourish and support their bodies without feeling depleted.
These are the main topics exposed in this episode to help you understand the different phases of your cycle:
I am thrilled to have Jess Sherman as a guest, she is Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a Family Health Expert. Jess has taught me tonnes about what needs to be done with our children in order to help them build better physical and mental resilience by educating them about how to use food as their ally. Better resilience means better growth, better learning and mental wellness along with reducing symptoms of digestive issues, inflammation, anxiety, aggression, cognitive issues, ADHD and Autism. This episode is filled with information about the special bond between food, resilience and all the above mentioned diagnoses.
Here are the amazing topics Jess and I discuss during this episode:
