First of all, I encourage you to check the episode titled Cycle and Fertility Masterclass. Today, I am sharing another masterclass which is the Perimenopause-Menopause Project. The reason I decided to share this information with you is that in the last few years of my practice, I was faced with the reality that most women know very little about their bodies. The problems arising during perimenopause and menopause usually show up and catch us unaware, since we were never truly taught what is actually going on in our cycling years, leading us to burn out after not treating or listening to our bodies properly.
I am sharing all my knowledge and experience so we can start to put some context around the emotions that you are feeling, this is not just in your head, this is a physical, physiological, biological and chemistry response happening in your body, and it is showing up in how you feel, look, move, sleep and be in your life.
Here are the main topics of this amazing masterclass:
Since this will be our 10th round of The Hormone Project (starting June 17th) my team and I decided we needed to release an epic education series to say THANK YOU to all of the women who have applied and come through this course. This is part two of our series, and it's all about cycle syncing and fertility awareness.
During this session I dive into what is actually happening when we are getting our menstrual cycle, why this is the fifth vital sign of our bodies, what we need to be paying attention to and I break down the four different phases of our cycles and talk about this in relationship to the ways we are going to feel and move and our overall health and wellness.
This episode is a little longer than usual, but it will be releasing as part of a series, complete with a digital worksheet and a video recording (stay tuned for its release in June!!)
These are the main topics I'm addressing in this amazing masterclass:
In this episode I am thrilled to be accompanied by the talented Dr. Mariza Snyder to dive deep into simple things you can integrate to your everyday life to bring your body and mind into balance.
Dr. Mariza shares her passion for helping women open their minds to see what is possible in their bodies, and their own healing capacities. Dr. Mariza is an essential oils expert, and she shares her knowledge about this powerful plant medicine. When essential oils' chemical constituents go into our systems, they assist our own chemistry to enhance and help us achieve better health. In this episode, Dr. Mariza speaks about which essential oils to use and how to use them to treat the symptoms associated with hormonal imbalances.
The following are the main topics that are addressed in this thoughtful conversation, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did:
We all have our own stories and mindsets about what healthy eating looks like.
Sometimes we can become really dogmatic about it, especially when it comes to defining yourself as a 'diet'.
"I'm Keto"
"I'm Vegetarian"
"I'm Paleo"
Having this mindset can really restrict you to the point where you're not able to listen to your inner voice — the one that might be contradicting your strictly defined diet. Sometimes when it comes to supporting your body, you have to throw the dogma out the window and zone in on what makes your body feel good.
Our guest today Marni Wasserman, has been there herself and in this episode she's sharing all about her transition from vegetarian to omnivore. Marni was a plant-based nutritionist for many years until she was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, and slowly began to re-introduce animal based protein back into her diet.
Marni doesn't hesitate to speak openly about her experience transitioning away from a vegetarian diet as well as sharing her deep knowledge in regards to nutrition and health.
Dr. Briana Lutz and I go into a pretty thoughtful discussion talking about different herbs and botanicals to support our overall health, but also in regards to our hormones.
Dr. Briana Lutz, ND, RH is a licensed naturopathic doctor practicing in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with a focus on women's health and fertility. She obtained her registered herbalist (RH) designation to reflect her advanced knowledge and therapeutic application of botanical medicine. She has a passion for utilizing clinically targeted botanical medicine and empowering her patients to safely use herbs as part of their lifestyle.
I personally met Dr. Briana Lutz through Saint Francis Herbs Farms, and having her here to chat is just perfect to go deeper into the many benefits herbs have. Dr. Lutz talks about her personal journey into botanical medicine as well as the following very interesting topics, giving the best actionable advice to incorporate them right away into your daily nutrition:
Adrienne has been dedicating her time and purpose to help people achieve joy, by connecting with each person's deepest sense of joy which shifts in different moments of everyday life. It can be challenging when we find ourselves stuck in daily practices that are just not letting us shine. This episode is about awareness, being present and finding purpose hand-in-hand with experiencing joy.
Adrienne shares her personal story about how she started her work in positive self care practice. Adrienne engages in a beautiful conversation, where we talk about real life and everyday hassles, as well as the ways of improving our life one step at the time. Here are the topics we address:
This episode is all about detoxing your body and bringing health into your home. Our guest, Christine Dimmick, is openly sharing her own personal journey and struggles with cancer in her own body and on close friends. She had been working in the natural health industry and felt she was doing everything right. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, a fire lit under her, and realized that what she was doing was simply not enough. We are being bombarded by a toxic world and we need to be aware of what is surrounding us to take the right actions to protect our health and our families.
During this enlightening episode you will acquire useful knowledge to start healing your life. Christine and I are diving deep into:
