Mentions of diversity, equity and inclusion — sometimes shortened to "DEI" — on S&P 500 earnings calls have increased 658% just since 2018. What's more, nearly nine in 10 Fortune 100 companies list equity as one of their corporate values. We're making progress on this topic, which is critical to both business and our society, but we've got a long way to go.

The two discuss the changes they've seen over the past few years, especially in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and movements for social justice, who is ultimately responsible for DEI, and what progressive leaders are doing right — and where they can take steps to do better.
