We sat down with John Mix, the Co-founder and CEO of FINIS. He tells us of FINIS's humble beginnings and how the monofin influenced his Co-founder, Pablo Morales, to buy into the idea of starting a swimwear company. FINIS has since blossomed into one of the premiere suit companies on the market, signing Olympians such as Olivia Smoliga, Anthony Ervin, James Guy, and Lia Neal.

We sat down with Brett Pinfold, the Houston native who swam for the Wisconsin Badgers and is now training at Texas A&M. Brett decided to come back to swimming after calling it quits and getting a fulltime job, and his club coach Allison Beebe had advised Jason Calanog as a good option to train under. Pinfold takes us through what getting back into racing shape was like with the A&M men. He also delves into what growing up in Houston Swimming, particularly on the same club team as Simone Manuel, was like.

We sat down with Tyler Clary, the man who took down all competition in the 200 backstroke at the 2012 Olympic Games in dramatic fashion. Clary surged in the last 50 of this race, passing both Ryosuke Irie and heavy favorite Ryan Lochte. Clary takes us behind the blocks of this race and shares that he visualized heavily before this race, showing himself every possible outcome before it happened.

We sat down with Kira Toussaint, the backstroking ace who has been breaking Dutch records left and right for the last 2 years. Kira explains her record siege last fall and how her plan was set up to have racing be a part of her training. This primed her to race at her top form every time she hit the water and allow room for correction of mistakes from week to week.

We sat down with breaststroking legend Mike Alexandrov. Alexandrov was once the fastest man in history in the 100yd breaststroke and represented Bulgaria at 2 Olympic Games before switching citizenship to the USA and spending many years on the American national team. After a long and successful career, Alexandrov shares how he moved into his life after swimming in the film titled "Afterlife".

A short documentary, “Afterlife”, following Alexandrov's end of his competitive swimming career, is currently screening online as part of The Newport Beach Film Festival and Academy Award qualifying Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival Oct. 9 - 17.

Swim Leadership Series: USA Swimming CCO, Shana Ferguson, shares the efforts of our governing body to get swimmers, teams, lessons programs and aquatic therapy programs back in the water safely through the Aquatics Coalition (aquatics-coalition.org). Shana’s the Chief Commercial Officer at USAs, a swimmer with deep roots in our sport and a passion for this mission. The Aquatics Coalition is more than 20 members strong working daily to get pools open safely.

We sat down with American mid-distance legend Peter Vanderkaay to talk about commercial real-estate... but mostly swimming. Vanderkaay talked about his time at Michigan and revealed a swim that stood out the most to him in his career, which ended up being a 200 free at the 2007 nationals, where he swam a textbook race and broke 1:46 for the first time.

We sat down with perhaps the most artistic swimmer of all-time, Fred Bousquet. Fred opened up about what it was like when he first got to America and started training at Auburn University under David Marsh and Dave Durden, admitting that it took him a year just to make the decision to leave France. Bousquet also explains why he loved the super suits: because of the attention that they brought to the sport. Bousquet admits that swimming now is "purer", but he still thinks the super suits added an interesting dynamic to the sport.

We sat down with Anthony Nesty, Olympic gold medalist in the 100 fly and head coach of the Florida men. Nesty talked about what winning an Olympic gold, and being the first from his country to do so, meant to him. He explained that he's tried to give back to swimming since then, one reason why he got into coaching. Nesty also goes deep into what he enjoys about teaching men not just in the pool but outside of it as well.
