Chris Prefontaine is a best-selling author and real estate investor that primarily focuses on buying real estate on terms. Having developed a great proficiency in buying and selling as a gum salesman during middle school, Chris is now an expert real estate investor and has done over $80 million in real estate transactions. He shares how new investors can become full-time real estate entrepreneurs and how to buy and sell on terms.
Born with an entrepreneurial spirit, teenager Chris was filling a wagon with junk from his closet to sell and buying packs of gum so he could sell the pieces individually. In adulthood, he decided to apply his sales skills to buying and selling over 100 homes before even starting a brokerage. As an owner, Chris and his team were selling 100 homes annually. Following the 2008 financial crisis, he reinvented the business to avoid resorting to money and credit as the only means of investing in real estate. In 2014, he founded Smart Real Estate Coach to mentor investors on how to scale and automate their businesses without using cash or credit. Today, Chris and his associates control an estimated $25 million of real estate with little to no money down.
