“The true piece of art lives without the artist explaining it."
This episode is dedicated entirely to the potent space we leave after we set a boundary, talking point, or decision. Buffy talks about the ways over-explanation has the potential to dilute our alignment and resolve. What if instead, we trusted ourselves and our boundaries? What if we trusted other people to be in their own perfect process?
This lesson is relevant in so, so many areas of life - emails, compliments, artwork, and so much more. Tune in to consider the areas of your life where you could use some space.

Having watched Beyonce's "Lemonade" is not a prerequisite for listening to this episode. But, we're sure if you haven't seen it yet, you'll be running to watch it after you listen.
This is an episode about intergenerational restoration and healing and the ways we can use our pain to heal the pain of our ancestors. Buffy tells stories of infidelity, a working granny, and more.
This episode is an invitation to heal what there is to be healed, in service to both those who came before us and those who will come after.
"If we're gonna heal, let it be glorious." -Beyoncé

Writing is alchemical. It changes us, and it changes what we write about - especially if it's a piece of our story. In this episode, Buffy tells stories of dancing, love letters, mixtapes, and hand-written t-shirts as a way to support the claim that writing changes who we are and how we operate in the world.
Your homework this week: write yourself into being. (Bonus: Let us know how it goes.)

The edges of the day are cooling off. Can you feel it? The slight drop in temp is the inspiration for this week's episode, where Buffy talks about the Fall season and why it is such a potent time to implement rituals to get focused and clean house.
This week's stories include new school supplies (can you smell the fresh pencils?!), five-year lists, and treasure hunting. Buffy shares what she's up to, what she's hoping to integrate, and invites you to create your own rituals that help ease you into the turn of the season.

Your life is composed of big and little. The whole and the sum of its parts. The splash of paint and the full composition. In this episode, Buffy explains why both are so essential. She tells stories of canceled plans, trust falls, and dreams.
This episode will help you see areas in your life where it might behoove you to zoom out, and areas where you could consider picking up your own paintbrush and tending to the details.

Buffy starts off Season 5 with something we hope is useful to you right now: hope.
Buffy shares about her experiences with depression, which she describes as a cave. She talks about how why, in the darkness of the cave, things like green juice and gratitude practices can't always touch the heart of depression. She shares stories of her father, foot massages, and Robin Williams to illuminate the secretive nature of depression and the ways hope can help us keep going.
Just keep going.
A content warning: in this episode, Buffy talks about suicide.

If you were a library, what kind of stories would you contain?
This is the basis for today's episode, inspired by Jason Reynolds' talk "Libraries Within Us." This is an episode about creativity - how, when we lean into the mallelable nature of life, we have an opportunity to break down what we think is concrete. Who are you when you let the stories of your life fall away? Buffy talks about this and more through story and lived experience.
TTWH is taking a quick break and will be back in a few weeks. See you soon!
