In this week’s solo episode, I share three different topics that are necessary for us to bring our whole selves to work and to life - taking breaks, creating healthy habits, and asking for help. Taking breaks is an essential part of our growth and success process, but can be challenging given the nature of technology, expectations, and the way we work and communicate these days.
When we rest, it allows us to reflect, recharge, and gain important perspective and insight - all things that are necessary to do our best work and live our best life. Taking breaks is one of many important habits we can incorporate into how we live and work, which can provide huge benefits to us and those around us. And, when we ask for help we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, to get the support we need, and to give other people the opportunity to do something most people love to do...help another human being.
