Solely relying on referrals can limit the growth of a law firm. It is important to diversify clientele and how you get revenue. For some, relying on referrals means a firm doesn't need to take time to update their website or care about how they are perceived to people trying to figure out more. This can really become problematic because referrals are not always guaranteed and you are missing out on a large portion of people who you could engage with.

Though marketing is an important aspect of a firm, poor processes can make efforts useless. You can market your firm to the point where you are getting a lot of calls and interest. But, if your intake process is not good or your staff are not on top of the phone line, you are losing interest from people who are going off of first impressions. It is important to establish good intake processes to ensure your firm can flourish.
