This week on the show Alyssa & Haley chat with nuclear engineer, amateur triathlete, and synchronized swim coach Victoria Anderson. Victoria recently participated in the AstraZeneca clinical trial for its COVID-19 vaccine, and she tells us what the experience has been like as a participant in this trial. She also speaks about what prompted her to put her name in the hat to participate in a vaccine trial, as well as the early impact that the pandemic had on her family as her parents were stuck onboard a cruise ship swept by an outbreak of COVID-19.

Victoria also has a long list of accomplishments in triathlon, including qualifying for the World Triathlon Multisport World Championships for four different events two years in a row! This (soon-to-be official) Multisport Legend is encouraging everyone, especially women, to compete in World Triathlon events that offer equal qualifying spots for men and women. She also fills us in on her thoughts about why synchronized swimmers make great triathletes.
