Dr. Menije Turner is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in the treatment of a variety of mental health issues, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders, addiction, and codependency.
She is a leading expert on overcoming perfectionism and building an authentic life. In this episode, we discuss the connection between perfectionism and anxiety, being a people pleaser, how perfectionism affects relationships, ways to cope and work on one's perfectionist tendencies, and more.

In this episode, I explore my thoughts on breaking and keeping certain cycles, what feelings were brought up when writing my final paper, my feelings about my own family dynamic, and more.
Reminder that this show or any other podcast is NOT a replacement for therapy. I am currently not a licensed professional, and even when I am, this show is simply a platform to hopefully spark conversation and to inspire work outside of the show.
