As a Latina with an invisible disability, Alida Miranda-Wolff knows the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in organizations of all types.

Alida has dedicated her career to helping organizations build new values, experiences, and perspectives into your organizational culture, infusing it with the diversity, inclusion, and belonging employees need to feel accepted, be their best selves, and do their best work. In February of 2022, her book Cultures of Belonging: Building Inclusive Organizations That Last released from HarperCollins Leadership.

Alida Miranda-Wolff is the CEO and Founder of Ethos, a full-service diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) transformation firm. • 167: Sex, Periods, & Mental Health - with Dr. Laura Meihofer, Doctor of Physical Therapy

First, I want to acknowledge that with everything happening around abortion rights, one can feel overwhelmed and helpless. I hope you know you're not alone and your body is YOUR body. My body, my damn choice. Now to get into the episode:

Laura Meihofer is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in pelvic health. For over a decade, Laura has worked tirelessly to earn her license, practice patient care, and publish research at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic — and now her private physical therapy practice, Laura Meihofer LLC.

Highlighting topics like vibrators, periods, menopause, postpartum, incontinence, pleasure, pain, and so much more, Laura is lifting the lid on formerly taboo topics and demystifying the pelvic floor. Pelvic floor dysfunction is extremely common! And, seeking information or professional help about pelvic floor conditions should not be shameful.

Laura's mission is to empower all individuals with pelvic floor concerns through evidence-based resources, movement, and products.

In this episode, we discuss the effect of hormones and birth control on one's mental health, period and premenstrual symptoms, sex expectations, pelvic pain, and more.

  • 163: Burnout & Chronic Stress - with Erica Cuni, Stress & Burnout Expert

Erica Cuni, known as "The Burnout Professor," is a Stress and Burnout Expert, Integrative Performance Coach, Professional Speaker, Social Media Creator, and Fellow Survivor.

She is the founder of "The C.U.N.I.(Create Undeniable Natural Impact) Method” and is a former Trauma Psychotherapist, Clinical Director, and Adjunct Faculty at Central Connecticut State University.

Her mission is to help make the mental health field more effective, accessible, decolonized, and non-stigmatizing. This approach is what she wished she had - a guide to thrive consciously without pathologizing her for doing her job, life events, and the intergenerational trauma she was carrying around with her.

Erica found her mission in 2014 after being hit by a Mack Dump Truck (literally) while driving to work and having her life fall entirely apart over the following 14 months.

In this episode, we discuss the connection between trauma and burnout, how burnout can show up in the body, the difference between burnout and chronic stress, diagnosis and medication, dealing with burnout recovery, self-care and mindfulness, and more.
