One of the most difficult things about weight loss can getting back on our plan when you haven’t been successful in sticking to it. It can be just as difficult when you stick to your plan and you don’t see the results that you want. In the first of a two part hard-hitting series about failure, Catherine and Donald discuss ways to deal with discouragement and how to keep going until you achieve your goals. The Tip of the Week (TOW!) is to separate “must dos” from “would be nice” items on your to do list. The Production of the Week (POW!) is Oofos recovery sandals. Also, Catherine keeps up a distant mystique, air quotes are great for podcasts, and Catherine and Donald are both very good actors.

Sometimes with weight loss, you can do all the planning, take all the advice, set yourself up for success, and things still don’t go well. Catherine and Donald are back from vacation and they discuss how they allowed a grocery shopping trip by a naturally thin person to sabotage a lot of their efforts and how they reacted afterwards. The Tip of the Week (TOW!) is to keep up your fitness minimums. The Product of the Week (POW!) is Instacart. Plus, Catherine enlists pancake accountability, Donald exercises behind Catherine’s back, and Catherine is definitely not a control freak.

Episode 34 – What to Expect When You’re Expecting Company
Blogilates Summer Sculpt Challenge:
It’s an Oscar worthy episode of we only look thin and the title is based on another movie that Catherine hasn’t seen. Donald and Catherine discuss the importance of diversifying your weight loss plan just like with your financial portfolio. Many times with weight loss, our instincts are that if we can’t do everything we want, that it’s not worth doing anything. Focus on what you can do and not on what you can’t do. The Tip of the Week (TOW!) is contained in the Stephen King book, “Elevation”. The Product of the Week (POW!) is WOLT Place!. Plus, Catherine hates cleanliness, Donald needs to stop leaving his dagger collection lying around, and you learn the lesson that finding interests outside of Donald is one of the best choices that anyone can make.

Blogilates Summer Sculpt:
It’s a thrifty episode of We Only Look Thin and we’re not talking about Thrifty Ice Cream. Do you “clean your plate” all the time because it would be wasteful not to? Do you insist on taking home and eating leftovers even when you don’t really want to eat the food? It turns out that there can be a high cost of trying to save; Catherine and Donald discuss this and ways to get yourself past it. You are not a trash can. The Tip Of The Week (TOW!) is to check the ingredients on your Greek Yogurt. The Product of the Week (POW!) is WOLT Place. Opening August 1st! Sign up now! Also, a spoonful of gravy is worth half a marathon, Catherine apologizes for cream pies in the face. and some products are sleeper-cell agents. Recorded at WOLT radio.
More information on WOLT Place:
It’s the 80th episode of WOLT, and in honor of the ’80s, Catherine and Donald are popping their collars, wearing slap bracelets, and binge watching Alf. They’re also going to try to help people lose weight! Have you ever made an appeal to The Weight Loss Fairy to just magically make you thin because you’re a good person and you deserve it? If your wish was granted, would you have the habits in place to keep the weight off? Catherine and Donald discuss making your weight loss goal a reality without any magic or magical thinking. The Tip of the Week (TOW!) is don’t believe the internet. The Product of the Week (POW!) is WOLT Place! Sign up now! Plus, Catherine does a terrible impression of a harp, everything is Smurfy, and this week’s episode is definitely not haunted.

Episode 32 – Imaginary Arizona Force Field
It’s a catastrophic episode of We Only Look Thin! Or maybe we just think it is. As is the case with so many things, when trying to lose weight, falling into negative thought patterns is all too easy, and talking yourself out of them can be all too difficult. This week, Catherine and Donald talk about numbers 5-10 of the most common negative thought patterns and some ways to re-think them. The Tip of the Week (TOW!) is to keep unflattering photos of yourself. The Product of the Week (POW!) is YouTube. Have you heard of it? Plus, the couple makes a timely Telly Savalas reference, Donald complains about “June Gloom”, and Catherine has difficulty sounding earnest.

Episode 27 – The Chumbawambasode or Weight Loss is Stupid and I Hate It
In the first of a two-part series, Catherine and Donald talk about an article from Mango Health that discusses negative thought patterns and the couple make it very clear that it’s “mango the fruit” and not “Mango” the character from Saturday Night Live. You dig out negative pathways in your brain in the same way that water dug out the Grand Canyon. Just because we believe something about ourselves doesn’t mean that it’s true. The Tip of the Week (TOW!) is to let exercise flexibility be your friend. The Product of the Week (POW!) is Halo Top. Also, it turns out that your “can” is your glutes, Terminators attached Target, Donald’s getting gains, and We Only Look Thin are not zoned for monkeys.

This week, Catherine and Donald bring you a rare We Only Look Thin interview; a “Thinterview” if you will. They talk to friend of the show and fellow weight-loss inspiration, Rebekah, who is down over 100 lbs! Rebekah shares her story and talks about the importance of starting wherever you are and not trying to overhaul your life all at once. Plus, Rebekah provides the Tip of the Week (TOW!) and Product of the Week (POW!). It’s 50% more inspiration than usual!

If you reside in one of the earth’s hemispheres, you need to listen to this week’s episode. Catherine of Donald talk about habit stacking and habit pairing in your weight loss adventure. Take something that you already do everyday and pair it with a habit that you want to add to your life. The flip side of that is to take something that you do occasionally and pair it with a treat. The couple tell you how to go from saying “I should” to saying “I did”. The Tip of the Week (TOW!) is to plan for injury. The Product of the Week (POW!) is a sun hat. Plus, Donald works pickles into the discussion and Catherine terribly misquotes Mar Poppins. If you need to send an email to anyone for any reason, also send an email to them recommending this podcast! You won’t regret it.

So, this week’s episode is all Tips of the Week (TOW!)! They’re stacking them deep and selling them cheap! How do they do it? VOLUME! Act now; this is a limited time offer. Plus, Catherine does a fantastic Prince impression. You can’t afford not to listen!
