Before I was running businesses and raising three boys, I lived in Japan for five years working as an actress — including time as a Disney Princess at Tokyo Disneyland (yes, gown and all!). It was such a unique chapter of my life, and it left a huge imprint on the way I see health and everyday living.
Japan consistently ranks as one of the healthiest countries in the world, and after living there, I can tell you — it’s not by accident. It’s the result of simple, powerful daily habits that support longevity and wellness in an uncomplicated way.
In this episode, I’m revisiting that time in my life and sharing the Japanese wellness habits that have stuck with me all these years — and how you can start weaving them into your life too.
We’re talking about:
- The role of fish and omega-3s in daily Japanese meals
- How fermented foods are seamlessly built into everyday eating
- Why green tea is the ultimate wellness drink (and how to get the most from it)
- How smaller portions and variety make a big difference
- And why breakfast doesn’t have to mean cereal and toast
These aren’t trends — they’re timeless habits that actually work.
