The WeSTAT Community had a LOT to say about Mother's Day! As one contributor put it, the day is just a mixed bag. A mixed bag of emotions and feelings that run the gamut from grief that is birthed from the loss of our own mothers to the disappointments of motherhood that are only highlighted when we don't feel 'seen' or acknowledged, on this one particular day.

JessB is ever opinionated in her 'take matters into her own hands' kind of way- as she describes the orders she gives her family to ensure she is recognized appropriately (can we say control freak?!) and JessK travels down the road of memory lane to her very first Mother's Day and the total disaster it turned out to be. 

No matter how you slice it, the day is loaded with thoughts and expectations that we definitely should be talking about!
