Diet culture is everywhere. We hear it from our families, doctors, friends, coworkers, and all over social media, on TV and in the news. It's like background noise that's always there.
In this episode I'm talking about one of the most important and foundational things that is going to help you approach your non-diet intuitive eating journey in the most effective way possible.
It's called "rejecting the diet mentality."
This might sound familiar, you might have heard it before - because it comes from the book Intuitive Eating from Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. In the book they outline the 10 principles of intuitive eating, and principle #1 is "Reject the diet mentality." They put this principle at the very beginning on purpose. Before you dive headfirst into the eating part of all of this, it's really important that you do the work to understand your own diet mentality, and so that sneaky diet thoughts don't interfere with you being able to actually listen to your body when you're trying to make peace with food.
Today's Wellness Woo is apple cider vinegar.
