Both Bruce Lehrmann and Brittany Higgins have endured attacks on their credibility and honesty as they have been cross examined over the night they returned to their place of work after a night out drinking.

But with the end of the trial nearing, what happens If Bruce Lehrmann loses? Will he face a similar situation to former Australian soldier Ben Roberts Smith who has essentially been named as a war criminal after his defamation trial?
