What to Do if You've Gained Weight (Besides Going On a Diet)

We’ve been told so many times in our lives that weight gain is bad and that we should “do something about it” by restricting, cutting back, exercising more and doing things to try and lose weight in order to feel better about ourselves. The problem is, this approach usually backfires and causes further weight gain in the long run. 

 

What if we looked at it differently? Consider this: Weight gain means your body is telling you something really important, and if you can get curious rather than judgmental, you can respond in ways that are much more helpful for our well being than dieting ever will be. 

 

In this episode I’m going to share:

  • Common causes of weight gain and what that means for you and your body
  • Managing your emotional reaction to weight gain and what NOT to do if you’ve gained weight
  • What you CAN do to take care of your body after you’ve gained weight (without going on a diet)
