Runner safety has always been a prevalent topic but has increased in relevance after the tragic abduction of Eliza Fletcher last year. Today, I have Courtney Kitchen on the show to talk all about runner safety. Courtney is a 3:02 marathoner, running coach, and social media content creator who has a passion for educating and inspiring other runners. She shares her running journey, as well as practical tips for staying safe as a female runner. We go through alarming statistics about the safety of runners and discuss ways to prevent the horrific from happening. We also discuss the importance of continuing to do what you love, despite the fear surrounding safety.
