The strategy is a long-term game, as the government is looking for contractors that will be in it for the long haul. We suggests using a multipronged approach and building relationships with the sub-agency over time, which can lead to the government calling you first for future purchases.

Again it's important to emphasize the importance of being persistent and following up, as this shows the government that you're serious about building a long-term relationship with them.

The government will test your patience to see if you're serious about being a long-term contractor, and most people will self-filter themselves out by not following up or disappearing.
