Since the beginning of human existence, we have had a relationship with the afterlife and those who reportedly inhabit it.

We tell stories of those spirits who aren't able to transition into the next life, spending their time tied to this one, haunting the people who remain, but there is an important role that telling ghost stories has on the psyche of humans.
