This NSDR for Anxiety is an 18-minute Non-Sleep Deep Rest, Yoga Nidra practice created to give you a needed reprieve from your anxious thoughts.
Through the repetitive use of this practice, you will create freedom and space from your thoughts that create anxiety. Giving you a practice that enhances your self-awareness to choose thoughts that better suit your life.
Yoga Nidra is an effortless meditation that guides your body to a state of deep rest while your mind stays gently aware. Yoga Nidra is a form of NSDR (non-sleep rest). The reason Yoga Nidra is an effortless practice is that you are guided into states of relaxation your body already knows how to do, which is sleep!
NSDR/Yoga Nidra has the power to improve mood, nourish your nervous system, reduce stress and anxiety, improve insomnia and so much more. It is best to practice at least 3 times a week at a time of day that works best for you.
This NSDR for anxiety is short but effective and has gentle calming music. Expect to be guided into relaxation, then go through a cascading body scan and breath awareness practice. Because this NDSR is based on Yoga Nidra we use a Sankalpa or intention for the practice. This also helps to rewire your brain changing your anxiety.
