The medical system is quick to label women as having "high risk pregnancies", but just because you've been labeled high risk doesn't mean you have to give up everything in your birth plan and go along with every intervention in the book. There is a lot of room for you to still be able to get most of the things you want in your birth, even if you end up "high risk" and at a hospital. It's hard to remember your worth as a woman of God in today's world which places so much emphasis on the paycheck you bring home rather than where God places it -- in the work we do that only we can do! Sometimes even if you want to have a baby and you are prepared for it, the news can still cause you to feel ups and downs in a way that you don't expect. Those feelings can lead to guilt and I believe this is an issue many deal with but very few talk about, so today we're going to talk about it so you know you are not alone! This situation actually has a name. It's called the "ambivalence of pregnancy". Today I'm going to give you some actionable steps to deal with these feelings and be able to move forward so that you can embrace the joy of pregnancy.
