Your Childhood Blueprint: When Love Became Performance

Listen Later

It’s Not Your Ambition. It’s Your Trauma. (The High Achiever’s Curse: Part 2)

You weren’t born chasing gold stars. You weren’t born thinking, "If I slow down, I’ll be forgotten." You were trained.

Welcome to Part 2 of "The High Achiever’s Curse: Healing The Void." In the last lesson, we identified that your success is a survival response. Today, we are going to find the source code.

In this lesson, I’m showing you exactly how your "Childhood Blueprint" was written. You will learn the specific emotional rules you absorbed from your "perfectly imperfect" caregivers and why you are currently trying to rewrite your history by re-enacting your worst day over and over again.

IN THIS EPISODE:

1- The 3 High-Achiever Blueprints: Which one are you running?

2- Why you are not chasing a bigger goal—you are chasing a different childhood.

3- How to stop blaming yourself (and your parents) by understanding the mechanics of the "Worst Day Cycle."

📓 YOUR REPAIR WORK (The De-Programming Journal) To change the blueprint, you first have to see it. Grab your journal and answer the 3 questions from this lesson:

1- When I was growing up, what did I feel I had to be or do to get love, attention, or approval? Complete the sentence: “I learned I had to ___________ to be loved.”

2- What did I feel I had to hide or never show if I wanted to stay connected and safe? Complete the sentence: “I learned I had to hide ___________ to stay safe.”

3- Looking at my life right now, how am I still living by those same rules? Be specific: where do you still perform, over-function, or abandon your needs to keep connection (work, relationships, parenting, friendships, even your relationship with yourself)?
