Lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease, has emerged as a significant health concern, affecting millions worldwide. Little did Dr. Brooke Goldner know that her experience as a patient, diagnosed with lupus, would be the foundation of her work as a doctor later in life. At the age of 16, Brooke faced an aggressive form of lupus known as lupus nephritis, a diagnosis that shook her world to its core. The challenges seemed insurmountable—debilitating symptoms, relentless migraines, and the constant fear of losing her kidneys.
