Julie Goodwin is a household name in Australia. She is a much-loved Australian cook, author, radio and television presenter, who came to public attention when she won the inaugural season of MasterChef Australia in 2009. She has since published six cookbooks, with one of them selling over 200,000 copies, worked in breakfast radio, hosted her own TV show, owned a cooking school and even re-appeared on MasterChef for the 2022 season, as a competitor among other champions and high-performers. We open lots of doors in this chat and Julie courageously talks about, not only the peaks, but also the troughs. She is one of the most authentic, humble and open people I’ve interviewed and although she’s well known, there’s nothing about her that screams ‘celebrity’. And maybe that’s why she is so popular. Enjoy.
