This means figuring out whether they’re ideal for your thyroid health, your hormone health, your digestion, and overall longevity. It’s not just about the number on the scale. We not only want to look good but we want to feel good and so before you set out to follow the latest TikTok or Instagram trend for losing a few pounds, you need to make sure that it’s not going to sacrifice your hormones and leave you worse off than when you started.
The process of losing weight, or the conversation itself on weight loss, is not straightforward or one size fits all. What we don’t realize or take into account, is that often our focus on weight loss sacrifices so many other vital functions like our thyroid hormone production, adrenals, sex hormones and so much more.
