Dr Bill is back for another chat and as Mary Harper would say "this was a goodie". Among other things, we talk about the evolution of religion (sounds contradictory doesn't it?), the beliefs we have that we didn't choose, being emotionally attached to a particular ideology, philosophy and/or theology, religion being the ultimate drug, the 'self' as an illusion, our fear of uncertainty, our need to 'be right', the relationship between beliefs and identity, unconscious programming and how groups (of all kinds) manipulate members to think, behave and live a certain way. Just the simple stuff (lol).
