In today's Monday Message, Emily talks about doing the right thing and when you don't, do whatever you need to do to make that wrong right. Since we're all human, we all have moments that we aren't proud of. Moments that don't align with the highest and best version of ourselves. The important thing to do in those situations is to own it, ask for forgiveness, make amends and be better next time. When you allow the past to hold on to you, you're essentially giving up your freedom to whatever shame or guilt you feel from those moments of wrong-doing. That was the old you and you can't carry that in your heart, mind and soul any longer. Do whatever you need to do to make it right and forgive yourself. Maybe someone hurt you and you can't let go of the anger or hurt you feel inside. You are living in your own prison of resentment and bitterness. Again, you have to choose forgiveness. Take inventory of what's tying you down to your old life, guilt or shame, anger or hurt. Find the root cause, own up to your mistakes, give yourself grace and choose to do better today. Don't stay stuck. That's today's message.
