In today's episode, Emily is talking with Meagan, her assistant from when she lived in California. Meagan is staying with Emily for a few weeks before she moves across the country. They two have had such an amazing time together and Meagan wanted to give Emily a chance to be interviewed on her own podcast! Meagan shares a story of Emily's from many years ago and explains that was a pivotal moment in Emily changing the trajectory of where her life was going. Emily goes into detail on a time in her life where she slept in her car, worked multiple jobs and was going to school. She shares what was going on in her life at this time and how she felt extremely alone and allowing herself to feel that sadness was what made her decide she didn't want to be in that place ever again and that instilled the drive in her that she still has to this day. The two talk about life transitions and how to handle them in the best way possible. Meagan asks Emily why community is so important to her and Emily shares why everyone she meets is so special to her.
